Scenario to root for 11 seed?

If we win 1 or no remaining games do we root for 11 seed if we need wins to make NCAA? Likely would get Northwestern in 1st game and then Penn State or Iowa the next game. We would be dog to either but think we match up well to both. 10 seed we likely get Michigan or Ohio State who I don’t like how we match up. Thoughts?

A win over Northwestern in the B1G tournament does little to nothing for us. If we lose the next two, beat Northwestern or Nebraska and then lose in the second round, we’re going to be in the NIT.

But I think if we lose the next two and then win 2 in B10 tourney we have a good shot. A lot greater chance to get 2 wins with 11 seed. With 10 seed we need to beat say Michigan and then potentially Maryland

if we win 2 then an 11 seed makes sense but just beating the 14 and then losing in the 2nd round won't do much.

Beat Purdue or Maryland and go in as a 9 or 10. Win the 1st game we play and then we make the NCAAs. 1st game is probably a Michigan or Ohio St

interesting as both can end up 10-10 in conference while RU can as well
- Michigan plays Nebraska and MD
- Ohio St plays Ill and MSU
