It looks as if Phelps will have a good chance to get his 8 golds this Olympics. He says he'll swim a reduced program in London, but will still compete. I don't think anyone would argue the fact that he'd stand a reasonable chance to win 4 gold medals in 2012. If so, he'd finish with 6 more golds, giving him a final total of 18, which would DOUBLE the previous record of 9 career gold medals that he just broke. How ridiculous would that be?
