Were there any problems with scanning your parking pass from your cellphone to get into the blue lot?

I seemed to be one of the few that had no issue. The problem was the parking lot attendant should have asked people with issues to pull to the side instead of sitting there for 5 minutes talking and allowing a back-up to accumulate.

No issue in yellow - only issue was watching the 3 morons in front of us trying to turn their cars around so they could back into their spots - I kid you not, it took 3:30 (I timed it).

Saw the same thing in yellow… it was rediculous. I thought several years ago they stopped allowing people to do this. A line of 8-10 cars behind me were lined up waiting for these yahoos, while the attendants just stood their watching. I’m sure it was eventually going to back up to the road. Parking attendants need to stop letting people do this. Just park head in, and drag your stuff to the front of your car.. yeesh!!

Guy came by right after sunrise and asked if he could scan my parking pass. Took 30 seconds. It shouldn't be a problem.

We have parking in the White lot. When we arrived we were told it was full and told we had to go to the purple lot. I'm handicapped and cannot walk that far.

To be fair if parking attendant would allow people together to drive in head on in a row rather than parking two by two and losing tailgate space it wouldn’t be an issue. The two by two has to stop.

Scanning at the Scarlet lot was slow. Taking 15 seconds per pass whereas it used to take 5. Doesn't sound like a lot, but 4 cars a minute instead of 12 a minute is an issue.

Scarlet has always let people back into the "far side" row so cars would be parked nose to nose and everyone is tailgating in the same path. Usually not an issue unless you have someone who can't park...

@RU22 That's a BIG difference. Did you actually go to purple or did they find a way to accommodate you in white, given that, you know, you've got a pass and all?

That is unacceptable. I had a similar issue several years ago with parking for basketball games, I called Matt Colagiovanni at RU to discuss and voice (loudly) my complaints. I would suggest contacting him directly.

That should never happen. Hopefully they will resolve whatever issue moving forward as Im sure you werent the only person turned away at the lot. I wonder if it was more of lot staff error vs RU actually selling more passes than fit in the lot? I know its less convenient but were you able to get the handicap cart to drive you over to the stadium from purple?
Dont know the particulars, but hopefully you spoke to RU after the fact and they will rectify the situation.

We had a late change in drivers for one of our cars. We tried to transfer the parking about 9:30 and got caught in an endless loop, never being able to complete it after 20 minutes or so. We just had that car follow immediately behind our other two. The ticket scanning at the east gate was a mess at 11:30 or so. Seemed like every third person couldn’t get scanned until a second or third scanner was tried. Not the end of the world but my takeaways were do any transfers as early as possible and leave extra time to get into the stadium.

It's going to slow things down just by the nature of it.
Asking the driver of a vehicle to open a parking pass from their mobile wallet / Google-Pay app is going to take several seconds each time, even when everything is working great and both the driver and the parking lot attendant are familiar with the process.

Allowing people to have the option to print tickets and parking passes (with a bar or QR code on the printout) would likely solve this problem, as many would do this. I don't quite understand why that is not a standard option.

Question about the White lot... was it by chance that part of the lot was un useable due to the ground conditions etc?

I park in White....there were a bunch of spaces blocked off for RAC shuttle loading and unloading. That is new for this year, I wonder if they accounted for that when counting available spaces .

No problem getting scanned going into the yellow lot or into the stadium. And I do not think scanning i th eparking lot is any slower than the old system of handing a paper pass and waiting for the attendent to tear off the bottom and hand it back

the shuttle busses from train station/college ave were loading/unloading from that general area i believe. But i figured that was specific to that week because the usual spot in johnson park across river road wasnt available. I wonder if future games will go back to the old plan or if they'll stick to the new one?

Regardless, IF the busses are causing the # of spots to fall under the passes sold then they need to make a change. Im sure they wouldnt want disability/handicap groups making a fuss.

Not be argumentative, but how hard it to have your digital wallet open to your parking pass before you leave or while you are in the queue to get scanned? It should not add any time really.

I can’t really mess with my digital wallet while I’m driving my RV from NH. So just speaking for me it will take a few seconds to wake up my phone and get the ticket up.
