SUPER BULLDOG WEEKEND ATTRACTS SPONSORSHIP

After 23 years as the spring homecoming on the Mississippi State campus, Super Bulldog Weekend has attracted corporate sponsorship for the first time.

Super Bulldog Weekend Presented By Regions Bank will debut in 2009. The weekend, which has traditionally been branded and organized around our spring football game, a weekend Southeastern Conference baseball series and a pig-cooking contest, will take place on the State campus April 17-19. Other sport programs take part in the weekend, as do organizations and groups around campus and in town. In fact, this year the Cotton District Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, April 18.

Coach Dan Mullen will put his football team on display for the first time at an intra-squad game at Scott Field on Saturday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. Coach John Cohen will lead his Diamond Dawg baseball team against Kentucky for the weekend series. Friday's game will start at 6:30 p.m., Saturday's first pitch will be at 1 p.m., and Sunday's contest will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Large crowds have always attended Super Bulldog Weekends in the past. It is our hope to fill Scott Field for coach Mullen's team's first public appearance of the spring.
