Can anyone explain what the heck this means?

Carrington later clarified that the “white privilege” comment wasn’t about Cunningham in response to a “Speakeasy” podcast clip from former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho.

“I’ve never once claimed that the assessment of the foul was white privilege (that was your assumption),” she wrote on X, while quote-tweeting the clip of Acho. “Try exercising your critical thinking skills, I know you studied psych. Furthermore, I’m the LAST thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on ‘white privilege’, do ya research on that one. I actually went to school, one of the top universities might I add, to educate myself on this exact subject. I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon knowing the historical and social weight it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate it.”
It's called backtracking a stupid cringy racist statement. And not a very smooth job of it either.

You act like "not one male in history ..." should be applauded. The W in WNBA does stand for "Women's".
This was not a thing in 96 06 16 but now is a thing? Just like there are male homosexuals and female homosexuals there are people not happy or don't identify in the body they were born in. I wish that could be accepted for what that is. But it doesn't mean they are joining a pro sports league of biologically born women. I find in this culture this environment of society there won't be a happy resolution of accepting Trans community on a societal level this having nothing to do about sports and leagues. But I do have empathy for all walks of life and don't feel like hating how members of that community choose to live their lives is net positive for all.

EVERYTHING Cunningham posts on social media are positive or fun. She takes pride in protecting her teammates; laughing, dancing, eating healthy, working out, etc.

She doesn’t mention, nor support any politician. She doesn’t talk about her personal preference keeping that private. She had fun with the UFC event and the ring sign. The crowd went crazy. She has a “brand”, and it’s about as positive as one can be. She has given her position on protecting young girls and giving them a voice.

People can be unhappy with their biological reality just like I can wish I was a stegosaurus. Doesn't change reality and it shouldn't be encouraged or celebrated. It also isn't an excuse for the mentally unstable 1% to force the rest of the world to humor their delusions. They deserve lots of love and mental health care. And love means you don't lie to someone who's not well by telling them they're well. That would be the cruel thing to do. You don't get to change definitions and place the most innocent at risk (the bathroom issue etc). We won't stand for it anymore. You think that's mean? COPE.

Sick that you relate it to mental illness. You are not a member of the APA. Is homosexuality a mental illness?

Personally, I don’t care what your sexual orientation is or how you identify. We are all God’s children and I wish you happiness. That’s your business.

There are men’s and women’s sports. It’s your job to either find a way to either play with the one that is your biological birth assignment or create a separate league to accommodate your needs.

@HALL85 you are directing this to me?
Bro I am 100 percent straight. Again the members of this thread show that they can't differentiate the fact that a women's sports league has full membership of all biologically born females and that being transphobic is not helping any side of this culture war.

Currently all biologically born females.. it’s going to change and it’s going to change VERY soon. Then what? The WNBA is the poster child of everything wrong in America and it’s currently the best reality tv show on air.

Did I say I was directing at you? I would if I did.

I proposed a solution. You took it as transphobic in your alternative universe.

Once again you miss the point. Cunningham wasn’t talking about the WNBA. The young girls that brought a sign thanking her weren’t directing their message at the WNBA. Go back and listen to or read her statement.

A WNBA owner (who berated little girls) and some WNBA coaches decided to make an issue out of it and now the moronic commissioner is convening a focus group for what, I don’t know.

Stop making this about something that it isn’t. Maybe direct your rage at the people that can’t define what a woman is or tolerate someone who shared a common sense position to protect young girls.

Imagine a world where I’m the “sick” one for saying a person who thinks they are something they aren’t is sick. I’m a furry cat, please humor my delusion for the rest of my life and provide me with a litter box or else I’ll sue the school and the job and the university, and send me to a vet or I’ll sue you and call me “kitty kat” or I’ll sue you and allow me to have “furry kitty” as a gender option on my drivers license or I’ll sue you. The insanity is endless.

Gender dysmorphia was in the DSM for a century until the APA who changed their definitions based on no real evidence at all.

A persistent psychological delusion that does not correspond to objective reality is by definition a mental health issue. The modern APA gets around that by redefining “gender” and pretending it’s a social construct that is different from one’s biological sex and can be changed like the weather. That is not a scientific reality. It is an activist tactic to redefine the subject to allow your preferred narrative to dominate.
