Nice start to this thread. [cheers] More in line, the high plains of the western part of the state truly are spectacular. Desolate sure, but beautiful in their own way. Of course the eastern half of Colorado is very similar. Don't think it coincidence the elevation is around 4,000 ft at the Kansas border.

It's illegal to hunt whales in Kansas.

Yes, it really is LAW there. I'd say it is complimentary of their very forward-thinking ways. As in, forward-thinking a couple of hundred thousand or millions of years, as Kansas may very well become a shallow sea, or coastline in the very distant future.

I did say VERY forward-thinking. Give me credit.
