I don't know if this qualifies, but we used to drive through Arkansas several times heading north, and it's still the only state I will not stop for anything but gas. Yeah, I made the mistake of stopping someplace there to grab some fast food one time, and I'll never make that mistake again.

It scared the hell out of me! The best I can say to describe it is they have too many family trees that have very few branches
