I agree entirely but have to look at it given the reality of the current context.
I think he’s showing his character, and it’s not about any principle belief for him, but rather unchecked selfishness.
1) Pot is illegal, whether it should or shouldn’t be isn’t the issue at hand
2) He could’ve gone off campus to smoke pot where let’s assume it wouldn’t have been as easy to get caught
3) How Frost and company respond to this will tell us a lot about them. They continue to say they want high character kids. Let’s see if their actions match their words. Let’s face it, we don’t know what other issues they’ve experienced with Mo. All we know is about the two publicized issues. Coach Held used to comment often that they have to keep him on track and make sure he goes to class.
4) I don’t think Mo is a cancer in the locker room. I think by the time you’re in college, you are pretty locked in to who you are as a person. Good kids rarely are influenced by cancers. And cancers typically flock together. Every team has good and bad character kids. That’s just life.

If we were a few hundred miles west we would be saying huh ? If our worthless legislator would legalize MJ they could lower property taxes without raising something else.

And he still would have gotten a ticket for MIP. He is 19.

Mo makes bad decisions and has poor character.
But anyone making a bigger deal for the weed than they are about the alcohol is out of touch. If you have ever drank alcohol and trash anyone for smoking bud you are a hypocrite and completely out of touch.
