What happened to the great indoor practice facility in this setting??
Too bad. I would have liked to get any live observation from folks on how the various other QB options are progressing. Oh well.
Cue Willy in 3...2...1...

Hope Clayton's recovery is going well!!
I mean, I'm sure you're right, but at least we'd be able to see something. And yes on the 2s and 3s, but at QB those are the ones that could potentially be playing for us against Purdue! Not gonna lie... I doubt you'd see Fitz put much out there that would allow the QBs to be judged. Would have been a pretty "plain vanilla" offense, likely mostly 2s and 3s playing.

Those can'r even compare to OUR SPring GAME, nothing like it on the planet can compare to NU's Spring game...nothing at all. Just have to wait until the August kick-off to see. I'm in the camp of not holding my breath waiting for Clayton to start the season.FWIW, Wisconsin and Michigan have cancelled their spring games as well.
FWIW, Wisconsin and Michigan have cancelled their spring games as well.
but we might learn more than the ~ 0 snaps that we've seen of them in any kind of competition since HS thus far?But you're not going to learn much about any of the QBs if they're playing primarily against our 2s and 3s.
The bleacher capacity is 900. Can't believe there will be more than 900 people willing to show up on a snowy Saturday......Wouldn't be enough room for fans to be in there.

Perhaps. Fitz bitched and moaned last week about poor fan support, but cancelling an opportunity to let fans into the new facility even if only on a first come/first served basis ain't helping build support.......Doubt that that capacity is currently in place.

Then let the existing STHs and kids attends. Maybe they won't be so inclined to sell their tickets to Michigan and ND fans. What are the chances that a significant number of "new" fans were planning to show up anyway? The spring game is essentially an event for existing STHs and their kids.

Well a hell of a lot of them showed up when Barnett was coaching and the game was even on live TV.What are the chances that a significant number of "new" fans were planning to show up anyway? The spring game is essentially an event for existing STHs and their kids.
Can't wait to see to super, secret trick plays Fitz has for the opening game. First play from scrimmage, JJTBC! Oh wait!“I hate to break it to everyone, but our priority is us — to get the football team better and improving,” Fitzgerald said. “Maybe fans won’t like me because of it, but there’s a safety component to this, and if the weather looks inclement, we’re not going to change the schedule to sell a hot dog or two.”
He said Ryan will eventually be able to hold 1800 and if it was ready they would likely have used that option.
Love my boy Fitz, but wish he would choose his words differently to be a little less defensive. Fans didn’t do anything wrong here and it was an unnecessary dig.

I believe Wrassler is calling plays this year.

Is Ash playing football this year?
Now you tell us.Wouldn't be enough room for fans to be in there.
if he is them it's likely from his cushy couch at home.I believe Wrassler is calling plays this year.
Don't know but likely the Evanston Fire Marshall had something to say about loading up the practice facility with fans. My understanding is that there is still significant construction going on in other areas of the facility so they would not have a full occupancy permit yet. Evanston likely cut NU some room to have the unveiling event.
Minny has decided to move their spring game to Thursday night.
By the way, was this a big recruiting weekend?
Stop it!Wouldn't be enough room for fans to be in there.
Stop it!
Open practices and even one spring game were axed before and fitz had fans go into the Old indoor. At any rate, typical NU under Fitz. Who cares about the fans, just spend your money and sit in your seat on Saturday. Yaaawwwnnnn
This is what Notre Dame does to you. It's their game.I’m too tired from sparring with all these Notre Dame asshats to get worked up over this.
I believe Wrassler is calling plays this year.
Just can't keep a secret, can you, Iskaboo?!?First play: Ben Johnson up the middle.
