I was wondering if SATT has to take a cute in pay? Other wise he is highest paid TE coach in nation.

He is being payed handsomely. And that is good for him because he will need it after he is fired at the end of the season. It is going to be hard for him to get another job as a coordinator after the **** show of incompetence he has displayed in his entire career. How he ever got the OC job here is an indictment on Rhule. Huge mistake on Rhule’s part.

Michigan State and Texas A&M would like a word
Most people don’t understand the chunk of money state and federal taxes take out of their checks. Yeah he’ll be fine but the government is going to get at least a third of it.

The other thing that people forget is that states like Florida and Texas are more attractive for coaches because of their tax structure. Dana is going to figure that out if he hasn’t already.

I think there are many companies who will make up the state tax difference in their salary package to compensate for the difference when recruiting people from Florida and Texas into states with state income tax.

It’s can be a big hit though - 5-8%+.

His federal tax level will hit 35% I think but the end overall rate for federal taxes would probably end in the upper 20s before state taxes are added on. P5 coordinators still well compensated but their job security is poor and stress levels are extremely high.

Any coach who has “made it” has made crazy sacrifices (along with their family) to get to that point. For most it’s nearly impossible to to understand - they just see the salary without the context of the early struggles.

Not directed at anyone - just an observation.
