I almost started a thread on the same thing.

2 seasons ago he averaged nearly 14PPG as a Sophomore and I remember thinking he was going to be a stud by the time he's a senior.

To see him 2 seasons later, averaging career lows across the board, only 6PPG (less than his freshman year) and just be a completely worse player is really something.

They were talking about it on Field of 68, like him and UT doesn’t know what his role on this team is supposed to be.

It's obvious what's wrong with Vescovi. He is 33 now and is past his prime.

It was soooooooo obvious Cal's plan was to let Knecht has his ( as he is hard to stop so focus on stopping everyone else ) and it worked . It is no wonder the last minute they came back as THE TEAM did not Knecht. UT is at their most dangerous when James and that little ***** of pg ect are scoring ALONG with some from Knecht . UT is going to get bounced quick if they want to see the Knecht show as any good team will do what UK did . Green light to Knecht RED LIGHT to the UT team.

Yeah, I totally agree. Knecht is very good, no doubt, but you could see he felt like he had to take every shot down the stretch, and there were 2 or 3 shots down the stretch that were forced and just not good looks at all. But he's gonna take them if the team is riding him. Tennessee went to Knecht too soon in this game. I think they felt like they had no choice, and that may be true. He kept them in the game, but in the end he just couldn't keep up. It's crazy. He gets 40 and loses.

But for Tennessee, the rest of the team has to be frustrated with how things are going. It's the Dalton Knecht show. One man teams don't fair well in the NCAA-T. We've seen some win some games with heroics at times, but those teams lose in the end. Problem for Tennessee is that they've been riding Knecht for so long the other guys probably aren't ready to contribute.
