It’s looking like he set this deal up with OU and Texas without even consulting the members of the SEC.

If so.. that’s a brass balls move and probably the only way it ever gets done.

If he’d taken the temperature of the room it would have been a disaster. News would’ve leaked the very same day he started the process because if 2 people can’t keep a secret then 14 damn sure can’t.

Nope.. the only way to do it was in secret. Get the deal made and then present the voting membership with a package so sweet nobody (except A&M) could say no.

The level of *** pain coming from A&M over this is entertaining, for sure. They have a severe case of battered wife syndrome. They were able to escape and start a new life and now their worst nightmare is returning. It's like I'm watching Sleeping With The Enemy again, only this version doesn't have Julia Roberts in it.

Power move by Sankey. As this continues to leak out it’s clear the SEC is making the correct, forward thinking move by adding Texas & OU. Fans will complain but it’s short-sided if you think this is going to hurt X school in the long run. In reality Texas & OU were leaving the Big12 regardless and the conference is about to be dissolved. You want to be in the conference that adds two prestigious programs that will attract money & eyeballs, than the conference that is scrambling to add Kansas State. This is a positive for the SEC & every member involved. A&M can get over themselves.

i agree but we are clearly the minority since the sky is always falling on Mississippi State. If you believe the posters on here, due to NIL and now this, we should just forfeit the rest of our games.
