Having 3 to 4 ships wasn't exactly unexpected this spring...

Giving props to Corey committing to RU at a time when RU was truly at it's lowest point and giving RU the spark it needed to get this rebuild moving forward and doing the best he could while at RU...I'm rooting for him and his next steps.....He got things off the ground at MSG and it's time for the next phase to truly start.....

Gave us 1 more year than I expected. Still wish he had stayed to graduate.

Now its up to the staff to get players in to help us win.

Agreed... this is not the thread to say what Corey DIDN'T do. Good luck young man and thanks for the time you put in. You helped me make my transition from a Kentucky basketball fan, back to my home state! Thanks and good luck! Now...lets see what the staff can do to move us forward. I think they'll be just fine even if we're at a one year standstill.

Hes got the wrong people in his ear if he thinks hes going to get drafted.

I wish him good luck but its not happening without a left and a 3 ball in todays NBA.

Good luck and hopefully ill eat my words here.

Pike needs to step up and recruit better.

It’s year 3 for him next year and we are desperately thin at position groups.

Let’s see what he does.

So what happens after he isn't drafted? Can he come back to RU or does he go overseas?

@T2Kplus10 Cant declare more than twice and he also inteds on hiring an agent. Hes gone. Whether that be G-League or overseas he cannot come back in any scenario.

Like another poster noted Pike and the boys need to kick recruiting into voerhaul because we just lost A LOT of players and all of them were the 1st 6 to play.

Losing Corey hurts, especially the way him and geo played at the end.

Losing Souf and Matt helps us.

Losing Williams hurts, but is replaceable from talent stand point, not the heart and soul that he was.

Losing Freeman may end up being a wash depending on carter's play.

Sa is replacable...

Best of luck to Corey. Based on what I saw of the Maverick's last night, he could start there.

@RepeatedCrown6 I think Sa gave us valuable minutes last year. Not a ton but enough to say we dont have a sure replacement.

Williams i totally agree and he is my favorite player in a while. All smiles, all heart.

Freeman was either a huge + or a huge -, i think he will be missed those.

Mensah and Bullock also agree.

We were in last place. Everybody is replaceable. The issue is actually replacing them. Ibrahima Diallo was replaceable but if that meant getting Souf Mensah, then what's the point.

Damn, cant help but feel bad for him. He most likely knows he has <1% shot of getting drafted but i guess hes fine with $60k in europe.

Next year is gonna be ugly now

Yeah, don't get it. Another season in college may really help him out.

Best case scenario after today would be:

In other news, Tai Strickland has decommited from Wisconsin.

Not impossible, there is still time.

This or another top recruit or grad transfer PG will now see this as a new chance to get a lot of playing time in the B1G.

Corey, best of luck--saw you lots on BTN, and enjoyed your play. NBA is a long shot, but there are some great places world-wide where you can play and make a comfortable living for your family without the wear and tear on your body of an NBA schedule. They play what, once or twice a week though they practice more. Which means you can play longer--like Douby.
