No, I won't agree to refraining from a perfectly harmless, admittedly less less than perfect comparison of Diaco to Verduzco. But quotes like "We have a moral obligation as a group of quarterbacks to be effective and efficient every game, every season” is very Diacoish. Sam seems to have had a ball talking to the guy. Like Diaco, he certainly isn't the standard issue coaching personality. From the article, he takes a very thorough systems approach to coaching QBs. I think this was also true of Diaco and defense. We don't know Verduzco much at all yet, but he seems like he could be a really interesting fella. I like the jazz reference to improvisation in QB play. Again, very Diacoish.

Interesting guy. I wonder why he spent so much time at Northern Iowa and didn't move up to the D-I level sooner? He has to be in his 60s by now.

I looked at his numbers in December thinking he might be a good fit for frosts offense- I thought he looked pretty athletic
His numbers were horrible with the exception of the nu game- go figure

I dont see the link to being anything close to Diaco. I didnt see a thesaurus of synonyms to say one word twenty times anywhere in the linked article.
Not Diacoish in the least. I understand everything he's trying to explain.
Frankly, I don't get all of the angst one way or the other. Words have meaning, that I get, but in this business, the results show on the field. Until that time, nothing has been proven and all of the words are meaningless. Every coach understands their words have an impact but also understand it is a bottom line game - what is accomplished on the field.
People got so fired up about what Riley said, what Diaco said, what other coaches said and then are disappointed when the words and actions don't match up. I don't get excited about a few words in print but will take notice when I see improved play on the field that coincides. But that is just me.
