I was surprised he was questionable. That means on 4th and 1 at the goal line against Iowa he could come in…theoretically. He's not going to play any time soon. Let the guy fully recover. With 3 solid RBs, he doesn't need to be rushed back.
None of the guys listed as questionable have played in either game so theoretically yes but realistically unlikely. Especially with the way our RBs have done so far.I was surprised he was questionable. That means on 4th and 1 at the goal line against Iowa he could come in…theoretically.

Brown can play in four “regular season” games this season and still play next year. He was a beast at times when healthy…and is a true “big back.”Shouldn't need them this week. Possibly a few plays to get a little game time if they are ready.

He’s the only back that can move a linebacker backwards. The other backs can break arm tackles well. There are not enough snaps to keep 3 running backs happy & now you want to add a forth?
Athan is the fourth RB.There are not enough snaps to keep 3 running backs happy & now you want to add a forth?
Agree. There’s only one ball and with the increased passing there’s no room for him to contribute in any meaningful way.I doubt he plays this year
A healthy Sam Brown is definitely our best option on 3rd/4th and short. Healthy Sam Brown is elite and earned the starting nod over Kyle.Agree. There’s only one ball and with the increased passing there’s no room for him to contribute in any meaningful way.
Understand that view, but that’s a very limited role and too predictable in playcalling. And being small in short yardage can be just as effective as being big.A healthy Sam Brown is definitely our best option on 3rd/4th and short. Healthy Sam Brown is elite and earned the starting nod over Kyle.
Not sure if Sam can ever get back to that level tho. Fingers crossed.
In the meantime, our backs are quite good.
