Now 100mph and still strengthening. Track is slowly shifting east. Current forecast is now putting Pascagoula in its crosshairs, with Mobile definitely in play. Was hoping to get to chase it more west, but it is what it is. If you're near the coast anywhere from Biloxi to Pensacola take this storm seriously.

It sure is. 4:00 p.m. update is at 100 mph, and it still has time for some degree of strengthening. I personally (for what it's worth) think that fairly soon land interaction will not allow it to get a lot stronger, but the slow movement is going to cause havoc.

I still think it's going straight into Mobile - not a good thing.

I'll be shocked if that happens. It's dealing with a little shear and the slow movement will cause upwelling bringing up cooler water.

Our company closed our office in Mobile today at noon to give everyone a chance to do some last min prep. They were told that they were not expected back at the office till Thursday at the earliest. Everyone down there became concerned when it stated heading north a lot sooner than expected.

I have a trip booked for Gulf Shores on Sept 26 - Oct 2. Ain't looking good right now.

Glad I bought trip insurance.
