I realize the odds are that he is going to leave after the season is over, but what market is there going to be for an undersized power forward who missed most of his last year of college due to injury?

If he’s going to play professional basketball anywhere, it is going to be at small forward. If he wants to work on his ball handling and outside game I don’t think there’s going to be a better way to do that then at WVU where he will have two considerably taller players that can play center and power forward.

If he were to come back, he would have to embrace what made him great two years ago which was his inside game and shot blocking. He kind of abandoned that this season. It seemed like that he felt in order to make himself professional ready that he had to purge those things.

Oh yeah and his brother needs to STFU. I literally would demand that if I were Huggs.

I have no idea what his pro options are at this point. I would think this season would scare NBA scouts away. MRI's were clear, team doctors cleared him, but his brother didnt, and he chose not to play. Unless some doctor comes out with a legit diagnosis I just cant get on board with his knee thing holding him out. I just cant see anyone associated with the NBA being impressed with that and not massive red flagging it.

After cleaning house, he is still on the team. He supports this team from the bench. Coach wouldn't keep him around if he thought he was going to leave. Sags will be back next year.

Big question: Has anyone ever sat out over 12 weeks for a "sprained" knee? Zion had literally the same injury as what Sags is said to have had, and missed 2 weeks. And Zion had every reason to sit out the rest of the season, if he wanted to (yeah, that's a dig at Will Grier).

Oscar is from the Congo which once belonged to Belgium. French is one of the official languages taught from the first day of school there to this day. Sags comes from Mali. It was a French colony for 80 years. Same situation re; languages in schools.

Why in the world would Huggins cut Konate loose, when he's likely to be the only guy on the floor able to tell Oscar what he supposed to do in the heat of a tough game in a language he understands?

Yep, me. I sprained a knee when I walked into an old post hole out hunting. Happened just before Christmas of '81. Surgery at that time was fairly primitive. It would have ruined the knee and my bank account if I'd had it. As it was I didn't start jogging lightly until around Easter. Took about a year before it felt like it did before I torqued it. I don't know how long it would take if you subjected to the pounding a knee gets in your average P-5 b-ball game.

I saw the Duke-UNC game a couple of nights back. Duke needs to quit feeding Zion PED's. That kid is going to explode before he gets drafted. I haven't seen a case of bucket-head like that since the golden days of D-bol.

But I bet you didn't have the daily physical therapy by professionals for that injury that Sags has had since "injuring" it.

That's true, but for years after it happened there were times when it would go out doing normal stuff, like a little hop up on a high curb. The damned thing still locks up on me if I sit too long. Sprains are funny things.
