I think we will see inconsistency all season with such a young /inexperienced group within the rotation.

A very tough position to play, running down ballcarriers in the open field, making full speed tackles which destroy the shoulders, and then trying to cover WRs, TEs and RBs going after passes, after being frozen momentarily by a play action pass.

I think Dixon will emerge as a star, maybe in the mold of Joe Lefeged as a bone crushing blitzer and tackler. Izien looking good too. Stevens is a Special Teams demon , as well as a good tackling safety.

Will know a lot more about this group (and the others) by the end of the 3rd game against Boston College.

Avery Young, Tre Avery, Kess Abraham, Christien Izien, Malik Dixon, Tim Barrow, Zamir Mickens, Damon Hayes, Naijee Jones, Jarrett Paul, Kobe Marfo and Lawrence Stevens gives us a pretty strong group of 12 DBs to work with this spring. We have a few more good ones arriving this summer. If further holes exist that are being hard to fill... there may be a few WR's that could admirably make the switch.
