Sad is one word Patrick . I say torture. Pure torture. A complete no show first half, 3 road games in a row we do not guard the 3 and allow Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Now Penn State to get 15, 13 and 18 point leads , but this one we make up a 21 point deficit and actually take the 2 point lead for once and that road win and the ticket punched could be sniffed , but give up a freaking 3 and yes on a terrible moving screen , but then a horrendous last possession with Young not touching the ball . Torture , pure torture . This team has so much heart, and grit , but these road losses , especially tonight was pure TORTURE..

You must have a very empty life.
Donnie's a Hall fan, meaning having an inferiority complex, knowing Seton Hall will never be considered a top program and always worrying if the NBE will be considered a top MBB Conference in a few years.

Donnie knows Rutgers is gaining more and more respect in the college basketball world, while his pirates do everything they can to get noticed, but remain that other basketball team in Jersey and it has been that way even when Rutgers was at its worst.

Please relax with the dramatics. RU created this with the large hole on the road. It was a miraculous comeback that was greatly aided by poor PSU FT shooting. We almost won but PSU was the better team tonight.

I feel like my entire insides have been ripped out. I’ve literally been staring at the TV for the last hour, just numb to the emotional devastation.

This was an absolute soul crushing loss, not only because of the way the game ended, but also because it feels like our NCAA tournament hopes are slowly slipping away with each passing day.

I just... can’t take it anymore.

Ok we were a total no show in the first half, allowing unguarded 3 after 3 like the first half of Wisconsin and Ohio State. We decided to play defense and actually come within the same zip code of their players in the second half and they hit no 3’s until the last torture one on the moving screen and the only time they were unguarded the whole second half . We held them without a field goal for almost 8 -9 minutes until that late 3. They hit 14-20 from the line until Stevens missed the 2 before Geo’s shot for the lead so the comeback had nothing to do with their poor foul shooting . Not sure they are a better team at all. They have more 3 point shooters . We have neutralized Stevens , a first team all conference player in both games . The rosters are close. Penn State was the better team for the first half but we were the better team for 19 minutes and 34 seconds of the second half.

I guess I see what you were going for with the 19m 34s thing but it's not an acccurate assessment of the half. Rutgers was the better team for the whole of the second half as evidenced by 17 point margin. Unfortunately, they were outplayed significantly by the better team in the 1st half to the tune of 18 points. Thus the home team was the better team overall by a grand total of 1 point.

I concur with the overall conclusion that the better team won and they were just barely enough the better team tonight for the 40-minute game. And that's not shocking since they were on their home floor and ranked 16th in the country.
