For Cal. Sad he can't be too pleased with this one... Egg meet face. Please... Dont try to take credit or explain. You were wrong plain n simple.

Side bar... Love the win but to get pumped over ms state... Ugg
Maybe I am wrong, but I thought he turned his back on the team. The call that he was thrown out on wasn't worth getting ejected over. I think he was just embarrassed and wanted out.

A coach fighting for his players is a bad look???
Of course a coach fighting for his players isn't a bad look, but a coach wanting to get away before the game is over is a bad look. If he wanted to fight for his players, he could have put Allen in the game to start the second half. He could have yanked Boston out for some of those god awful shots he was taking. Surely he didn't think this very young team would be better off without their head coach, but maybe he did. Maybe he couldn't trust himself to do the right thing with Boston and Allen. That is something to think about.

Some of you guys are just constantly reaching for stuff with Calipari. It’s rare that a guy at his level would be whiny and petty enough to purposely get bounced because he’s embarrassed. Honestly, that kind of mindset tells me a lot about anyone who suggests such a moment.

I don’t think it was on purpose. I think Calipari is likely being honest when he says he meant to get the first but not the second. In those situations, the second one comes really easy for refs and it surprises most coaches. The trigger gets light on the second one.

He said he did the first one on purpose. I'm just curious how that's a bad look even when know he's done it in the past to motivate his teams, and it still works.
Cal knew he had to get this win to stop the losing streak and start out good in conference play. I can’t remember how many times he’s done that in the past but from what I remember it seems like it’s always worked.

I think it was the bad non call in a long line of bad calls by the refs. It wasn't just one call that set him off. The creativity that is used to bash Cal doesn't stop. Yesterday I read through a couple of pages of posts about how useless our assistants were to this team.

Today, we win a game. Dontae Allen played well and we still manage to dwell in the negative. Not just you but well, just look at the posts. I am celebrating the win and I was especially pleased to see Boston and Jackson, who also didn't play in the OTs, were cheering like crazy on the sidelines.

Cal pulls the “get thrown out” trick at least once a year. Say what you will about cal but thinking he turned his back on the team is mentally deficient.

Cal didn’t have a clue Allen would explode. I would have loved to have seen and heard what Cal was saying when Allen blew up. I wonder just how excited Cal really was then

He 100% meant to get thrown out, but to JC credit he know damn well getting thrown out is a win win for him. We lose its because he got thrown out. We win he won because he motivated the team. Cal is slick I'll give him that.

Fans are very frustrated because we know if Cal hadn't been booted Allen wouldn't have been in the game at crunch time. Fans are just fed up with the nonsense. One win isn't going to change that.

Not going to bash Coach on this one. I took it as a moment where he was frustrated with where we were in the game and what we were doing. He used the opportunity as a moment to try to provide a spark. I've been very hard on Cal this year but I'm not going to criticize every little thing he does. He is a good coach doing some bad things in the past few years. Hopefully, he takes a good hard look in the mirror after this season and makes some changes in philosophy. Yep, I know I'm dreaming.

If the team was Duke, your feelings about things would be totally different. It would be a great South West airline commercial, wanna get away?

I’m trying to be excited but it took seven three-pointers and Allen playing out of his mind for us to win in double overtime against miss

Allen played quite a bit while Cal was still on the bench. Cal also played a lot of zone tonight. That in itself is very different. Making shots makes everything better for the team and Dontae definitely did that. Good on him.

I can’t watch them when BJ Boston is on the floor. Just can’t.

He should work on being a good role player off the bench. 10 to 15 (tops) minutes.

I thought it could have been called either way, but the one that should have been called was the ABU drive and lower his shoulder and knocked our player down that clearly was a charge, but called a block was terrible. But we overcame at the end. Good win over a fair MS St team who just knocked off unbeaten UGA this week. And with UT losing today + Auburn, I'm very happy. We should be at least tied for the SEC lead.
