Cat fans are one less in number, we lost KyfaninNC last night at about 11 pm. He died due
to complications after surgery. We were friends for over 40 years. He was a person who spoke his
mind and was true to his beliefs. A near scratch golfer at 70 and a fun guy to be around. I will
miss him and our phone conversations after every game. He didn't watch the games after
a certain point last season but was going to watch this season, I wish he had gotten the
chance to do so.

Bless you and his family brother Doc. I enjoy, enjoyed you both. God Bless you...

Thought and prayers to the family. Very sad. Always loved his takes bc he was the only poster on the board that I felt hated UNC as much as I do (which is admittedly an unhealthy amount).

I'm so sorry to hear this. @KyFaninNC was a great poster. His posts on this message board will be missed and I know he was probably a wonderful person in real life. I'm sorry for your loss, @docholiday51 .

RIP.

Even tho I didn't agree with most of what he said, I will always miss the back and forth discussions with him. Seemed like a really good guy. He'll be missed here.

Rest In Peace sir. I did not know you personally, but I always appreciated your posts. Enjoy watching our boys in heaven this season, front row center court at Rupp.

He said he wasn’t going to watch another game until Cal was gone. Let this be a lesson to mend all bridges as you never know when your number will be called. I hope he is able to RIP.

Too depressing! Even though the lyrics may be a bit direct, there is a reason "Another one Bites the Dust" is one of the most common played songs at funerals. It makes people smile and remember the good times.

I think you mean “dust in the wind”

I considered him one of my "internet friends." Prayers for his friends and family! Thanks for sharing.

Very sad to hear this. Especially for him, his family and his friends, but also to lose one of the regulars around here in such a way. Prayers for all who knew him.

I have been traveling the last couple of days .Thank you to all the board members for the kind words.

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I won't be able to talk UK and golf with Bill anymore

I guess he was just too high strung, the strain was more than he could bear

Yes he was, Marrowbone to be exact. He will be returned to the banks of Marrowbone creek per his wishes
I’ve searched for his obituary in Wilson and couldn’t find it. Do you have any other info that may be helpful ? Last name or initial? I would like to send my condolences to his family. Thanks in advance.
