I think Cal said what he thought to be true. I think he feels that Kentucky can get the win tonight and give PJ more rest, a win-win situation. There is no fracture

A hard cast is just to completely immobilize the ligaments, provide rest, and speed up the healing process. If you remember in the 2018 NBA Finals, LeBron James wore a hard cast after being eliminated by the Golden State Warriors and the cast mysteriously disappeared a few days later.

There's really nothing to be mad about. It sucks it happened, but it's literally something that you can't control. The only person you can be mad at is PJ if it turns into another Vanderbilt situation and let's hope that's not the case.

Let’s see it. Show us all how smart you are!!
Yeah, the history doesn't go back far enough. But you surely aren't going to pretend that you weren't in full panic mode when Travis was hurt. Total doom, the sky is falling panic. And you were wrong.

Haha...I call you out on it and you cannot prove your claims. Keep being a comedian!

Thinks Cal knew yesterday PJ wouldn't be playing today or Saturday. He's fired up. Never seen him this mad.
Dont blame him...Cal is beyond ridiculous when it comes to adressing injuries....its insulting to fans intelligence that we are supposed to believe someone gets put in a hard cast for a foot sprain. I've literally ripped my akle out 2 times and only got put into a damn air cast. It's like Jared Vanderbilt last year...dude was here for a year and basically never even played and we STILL have no clue what the hell was even wrong with the guy.

Why do fans deserve to know about injuries?

Because fans pay for the facilities, coaches salaries etc. People spend a ton of money going to games. The same thing can be said about Lebron and Giannis sitting out the other night. Fans should know the full story before investing thousands of dollars to attend a game. The load management line in the NBA is a joke (but that's another topic for another day).

Ryan is infinitely more tolerable and affable than Matt with his incessant whining and lecturing, but Ryan has got to stop being a Matt parrot. All he seemingly does is reiterate or rephrase what Matt just said. They really need to take stock of some of the criticisms offered on here, they are completely valid.
Man you never miss a chance to take a shot at Matt. Your game gets old. But I do bet they appreciate you being such s loyal listener. You hate them all but must listen to every minute of the show.

Maybe he is trying to protect his team. You don't have a right to know what is going on with a player's injury. It's not our business. If you don't want to go to games and help pay their salaries, don't go. But he owes you or me nothing other than to provide a quality program.

I can agree to disagree on this one. I think he works for the fans. The whole athletic department works for the fans. If no fans show up they don't get their salaries eventually. It's pretty simple. I get where you are coming from though.

Even if he did know and I’m not saying he did. Why put that info out there for someone trying to game and plan for you.

Cal's history on how he approaches injured players is the main reason I didn't go to Jacksonville for these 2 games. When reports started coming out that PJ was injured and Cal didn't address it on Tuesday, I knew it was bigger than what the media was reporting.

However, I'm still not sure if he is done for the year because of the same reason. Cal will keep his return under wraps until he absolutely has to come clean.

Serious question because I haven't seen very much of Lemond and have only listened to a handful of KSR podcasts (none in over a year). Before I insult the guy I just want to check...does he have some sort of mental slowness or disability? I saw a few clips of him doing "pregame pep talks" for football this past season on twitter and it came off like those videos you see where a high school puts a kid out on the court with a mental or physical disability and allows him to take a couple open shots as a symbol of kindness and good sportsmanship. Is that the situation with Lemond?

No, he is just a grown man who thinks acting like a 12 year old is funny

Two words. Jared Vanderbilt. PJ done for the year.
You do know that Vanderbilt was actually injured and required surgery, right? There is no comparison, but thanks for reviving another stupid take from the Travis injury.

IMO, a coach should not announce injuries at all. Why give your opponent information that can help them develop a game plan? If I'd been Cal, no one would have know PJ wasn't playing until they walked out on the floor.

Not sure how to spell his name and really don't care, but Mr. Lemond is like a lot of other sports casters. He has some ability to talk to people but has no ability to think and reason. If he had to hold down a real job he would be a sad failure.

Lemond is an empty suit. Whenever Matt asks him if he agrees he says “100%”. Matt would never allow anyone on who challenges his opinions.
Lemond schtick is to act stupid and let Matt brow beat him. It works for him. Lemond appears to be a very good man but really lowers himself to keep the job.

No we don’t. You’re a fan by choice. UK’s not paying you to be a fan so they don’t owe you anything fool.
I understand that but they sure don't have a problem taking our money for tickets, souvenirs, etc. They may not owe us, but it would be nice to have the truth occasionally. I know this is selfish so don't jump down my throat, but I am SO tired of draft this and NBA that. I watch KENTUCKY basketball because its KENTUCKY. Okay' whew!!!! I feel better now. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I feel back to normal now. Seriously though' I just don't want them to get overconfident and think that Abilene Christian won't be a problem and will be easy without PJ. 15 seeds have beaten 2 seeds before and, of course, I don't want that to happen. Who know when or if he will be back. We just have to take one game at a time and play their guts out.

GO CATS!!!!
