You seriously think that hit deserved an ejection? Wow. The ejection was pure emotion from the refs and the atmosphere that got out of hand.Disagree - was flagrant. He had plenty of time to pull up and didn't.

Lol.We will get even with them next year when we get them back at our place. Schiano will not take his foot off the gas even if we are blowing them out in the 4th quarter.
I have zero issues going for the block either. But it backfired and people on here are blaming Day as being an ***. We took a shot, it failed, it's 100% on Rutgers. The cheap shot out if bounds by Rutgers made it worse. Planned , which it wasn't or unplanned the first down was created by Rutgers mismanagement.Watch the replay more closely - he was there to separate the players and Day was yelling at an RU player and Greg then started yelling. Also, it's quite possible one of the guys on the end missed an assignment to contain - I have zero issue going with a block call. And even if Greg was yelling about the fake punt, there's no way in real time from ground level way across the field that he could have known it wasn't a called fake - that was only clear from replay at a higher angle, which he hadn't seen yet.
You need to understand the situation of the game.
He doesn’t , go look at his prior posts , very low football I Q.And who ultimately has authority to green light that? You really think players just do whatever they want out there? I'm starting to think you know nothing about football.
No way just look at reply wasn’t even a hard hit or even that late. You seriously think that hit deserved an ejection? Wow.
You know how disgusting I find you guys, I will now root for Michigan to kick your f'ing *** again. It can only be explained to you, not understood for you. The defense gifted it. Literally gave it away. Then followed it up with a cheap shot on a punter.
Sorry it hurt your feelings though.
Go F yourself you POS.You do realize it wasn't a designed fake punt right? Schiano also went heavy to try to block the punt and it backfired.
This one play epitomizes Schiano's lack of awareness and football intelligence. He's simply a less than mediocre coach.
I literally typed the exact same message and then decided to not waste my time on that complete POS.Go F yourself you POS.
No he didn’t. Punted did. Glad he got smackedHe up by 49 points in the 4th Quarter and he decided to do a fake put that cost a personal foul and ejection from the game . Schiano was all up in Ryan day face for that move .
This and I found this on another board on Day's talking about it after the game. It was strictly the punter's decision and Day said he plans to have a talk with him tomorrow:You do realize it wasn't a designed fake punt right? Schiano also went heavy to try to block the punt and it backfired.

It was the punters decision and he got lit up and learned his lesson. This and I found this on another board on Day's talking about it after the game. It was strictly the punter's decision and Day said he plans to have a talk with him tomorrow:
+ On the interaction with Greg Schiano in the fourth quarter, Day said they came after the punt and Jesse Mirco saw that he had nobody on him to the right so he took it. He took a shot on the sideline and then things got heated. “It was just coaches defending their side.” Day told Schiano after the game that he had a lot of respect for him. Day told Mirco they’d talk about his decision on Sunday.
Yep, and everything seemed good with Day and Schiano after they talked at the end of the game. Keep in mind, these are college players that sometimes don't make the best decisionsIt was the punters decision and he got lit up and learned his lesson.
CruickshankI thought it was a great hit by cruschiank.
Schiano is fine RutgersSam it’s funny how you crawl out only when Rutgers loses… even going back to Schiano’s first term... we do not have a functional D 1 QB … we have a completely new O line… we are down to 2 TE’s … missing a top RB in Aaron Young… we also were playing the best team in conference and top 5 in the country... it’s not so much the X’s and O’s But those Jimmy’s and Joe’s.It's hard to understand that you can't see it wasn't a designed fake. But I can't help you with that.
Yep I'm a serious Rutgers fan, which is why I know we need a better coach than GS. You should feel the same if you actually care about this program.
I thought that at first but rewatch how the OL crashed in and block our “LDE” to stop him from bouncing outside. Not saying Day called it but the punter definitely audibled and OSU staff should have stopped it.I don’t think the play was called.
The punter just saw space and took it

wisr…couple of sincere questions; 1) is there something sacred about 4th down that sportsmanship requires a team with a big lead to punt, even if the defense is still trying ? 2) is it ok sportsmanship to hang 66 on Wagner as long as none of the late TDs come on 4th down ?3) Did RU have any 4th down conversions in the second half against Wagner ?I literally typed the exact same message and then decided to not waste my time on that complete POS.
Well she also happens to be his wifeGo back to banging your sister.
Exactly. Stop whining. Get better players or STFUI don’t think the play was called.
The punter just saw space and took it
It clearly wasn’t a called fake punt but it what every rugby style punter is taught to do. should the punter have better awareness? yes the same could be said Cruickshanks on the clear cheap shot out of bounds. It a heat of the moment thing and crap happens. Schiano is lucky he wasn’t ejected because he continued to go after Day even after players were separated. And who ultimately has authority to green light that? You really think players just do whatever they want out there? I'm starting to think you know nothing about football.
Disagree. He was going full speed at the punter who decided to run out of bounds as he approached him. He definitely made an attempt to turn away right before the hit. This isn’t a video game. When your running that fast you can’t just change your direction in a split secondDisagree - was flagrant. He had plenty of time to pull up and didn't.
Youngie, you probably didn't even go to OSU. Front running with your pro teams being the Patriots, Dodgers, and Warriors. Look at me, the team I follow won again! I'm a classy true sports fan. The punter was a jackass and paid the price, end of story. Sorry that ruined your otherwise perfect day little guy. Get over it and I hope Michigan blows you out like last year.It can only be explained to you, not understood for you. The defense gifted it. Literally gave it away. Then followed it up with a cheap shot on a punter.
Sorry it hurt your feelings though.
He was way out of bounds and he lower his shoulder and hit him high. There was no attempt at missing him or pulling up. It was a clear cheap shot.Disagree. Ok sure. You clearly didn’t watch the replay. He was way out of bounds and he lower his shoulder and hit him high. There was no attempt at missing him or pulling up. It was a clear cheap shot.
It was way out of bounds and high on a guy who clearly was running out of bounds. It was a clear cheap shot.No way just look at reply wasn’t even a hard hit or even that late.
To that I say “good”. Wish he hit the punter harder and into Day for a knee injury. Let’s see how your fan base reacts to ******** from OSU when they wax Ped state. He was way out of bounds and he lower his shoulder and hit him high. There was no attempt at missing him or pulling up. I would say Penn State should play more disciplined and not crash inside leaving a open lane for the punter. It not their responsibility to quit playing. To that I say “good”. Wish he hit the punter harder and into Day for a knee injury. Let’s see how your fan base reacts to ******** from OSU when they wax Ped state.
Clueless post and your still shots are useless and not in real time. Two guys running full speed from opposite directions maybe a yard and a half apart is a split second.
Aaron Cruickshank leveling that OSU punter was exactly the response needed. You can’t convince anyone including OSU fans that it wasn’t a douche move. Reminded me so much of PSU and Paterno throwing that pass up in the Meadowlands. Graber should have kicked the old farts *** at midfield even back then.I don’t blame the coach…the kid is about 25-26 probably. In fact if Adam Korsak did the same people would be calling him out from OSU.Thank You Aaron.Exactly. Stop whining. Get better players or STFU
And the punter getting hammered out of bounds was the correct response.
OK.Go back to Ohio
I’m all for teams playing to the final whistle. I have no problem 2nd-3rd string scoring late in the game. But when you are up by 40 you do not run a fake punt. Even if it wasn’t called by the sidelines. From my experience a coaching staff will set expectations and remind people what is acceptable. Green lights and certain reads are turned off. This is where you tell the punter to punt it away. The goal at this point is to get to the locker room with minimal impact on the body and start preparation for next week.OK.
It was a heads up play by the punter. If we expect teams to be kind and gentle as they're kicking our a**, we're in the wrong business.
Not to mention, style points matter when you're in the playoff hunt. If he can grow his lead against a conference opponent, why shouldn't he?
I think this is correctI don’t think the play was called.
The punter just saw space and took it
