Doorson with epic D. Keep that effort up the whole game. If he and Gettys can do that we'll be alright. Like Corey driving. If he takes off an extra step later he will make more or at least get a foul hopefully.

Steve is trying everyone on Hayes. He's better off double teaming and letting one of the other guys beat us. We have no one who can play him straight up, one on one.

Pikiell has to work the offense so we stop turning the ball over. Not sure what he can change to play more to our strengths, but 9 TOs already will kill us.

We're just not skilled offensively besides a few of our guards but we're athletic and we can play D.

They need to double Hayes. He's accounting for almost 70% of their O.

Tougher the competition Rutgers faces the harder it will be for this team to score.Far too many turnovers and missed shots around the basket. On defense Rutgers excessive fouling .The talent disparity really shows in games like this one .33-18 Wisconsin last minute of first half.

Wisconsin is very good, they will not overwhelm..they will weaken you with slow poison and then slice your neck

RU runs too many plays with players passing to guys attacking the basket. Need more plays with guys open on the perimeter.

We need to continue to hit our threes and take the ball out of Hayes' hands. It's not over but it's a long hard road.

Corey Sanders - WTF??

Can you PLEASE stay on your man at the 3 point line for once?

So frustrating to see us playing a solid D possession, and then have it pissed away when he sags inside for no reason, then the kick out happens for a wide open 3.

CANNOT DO THAT!!!

Sorry to say but offense looking Jordenesque or hopefully Wisc plays the best D in BIG. We seem to be stumbling to basket and thank goodness Mike made a couple of threes!

Look. This game is exactly who RU is. Very strong defensively. Solid rebounding. They do not give up. They play hard.

That said. It is an awful, awful offensive team. The three centers, despite their size, have zero offensive skills. You then have four players in Freeman, Laurent, Sa, and Omen (the freshman) who also have zero offensive skills. They cannot shoot, they cannot dribble, they cannot pass, they even are poor at catching the ball. When seven players have zero offensive ability you cannot win games against quality opponents.

Add the immaturity of Sanders and it is exceedingly tough to win.

Let's see if the team comes out and continues to play hard and is strong on the defensive end. That is the way to measure the team right now.

It was over when we brought a walk on in during the first substitution instead of Sanders.

Playing really good interior D. Couple of things not going Rutgers way down low. Guarding tall scorers at the 1,2, or 3 will be the achillies heel on D all year.

The difference is that Eddie's offenses will always look Jordanesque, Pikiell's won't once he has some players with experience in his system.

I agree with much of what you wrote. I disagree that the centers have zero offensive skill. Diallo and Doorson need to match Wisconsin ruggedness on D with their own on O. I do agree that this isn't a team that Freeman, Sa, or CJ can play well against. They're just not physical enough to compete with Wisconsin's bigs.

I'm interested in seeing how Pike approaches the second half. I'd go big, but he knows his team.

Freeman gets the ball down low and never looks to kick it out. Surrounded by three guys taller then him he forces it and gets called for an offensive foul. Kick the damn ball out and start over.

Freeman needs less minutes, looks like he gets tired and falls asleep a few times. Not sure who you give them to though.

Kids are playing hard, especially on defense.

Their players are better. Way better.

No need to hang your head though.

You can only do your best.
