our receivers film study is currently watching the breakfast club and other 90s classics.
We don't run the read option. Why are we going away from the read option here?
You're out of your mind. Night and dayWill the Gio fans now admit he was not the answer either?
But the team almost scored 2 TDs and no picks!!!!!!! In one half. Will the Gio fans now admit he was not the answer either?
ok, I stand corrected on the decade, but no one disagrees with the sentiment.Breakfast Club - 1985
Huh? We should have 14 in the 2nd half under his leadership (yes, he dropped the TD, but we should've scored before that play), which is a huge improvement. Not saying he's great, but there's not doubt he's better than AS. No doubt. Will the Gio fans now admit he was not the answer either?

more like "night.. in hopes that in 2-3 years he could be day" compared to "twilight.. that we have for one year"You're out of your mind. Night and day
But but but he drove the ball down the field. Will the Gio fans now admit he was not the answer either?

we just don't play with urgency.
He's the better option when looking at the available options to answer the question "who should be RU starting QB this season?"Will the Gio fans now admit he was not the answer either?
I meant as a system.. you said "going away from the read option" as if that is our system. We have seen successful pitch plays and times that we just stopped calling them from some unknown reason. Same ere... we called fewer "options" because they started getting shut down.We ran it on several plays with Gio earlier in the game when he came in for positive yardage so there are read/option plays in the playbook

successful ones?I don't think it is a staple of the "Pro-Style" so we never called it.
Makes sense why no Gio all year.
His best plays are plays we don't run often.
Gio has looked just as bad as Sitkowski over the years. He's the better option when looking at the available options to answer the question "who should be RU starting QB this season?"
is he the savior ? nope, but best of available choices
successful ones?
Hopefully Wise signs because not so sure AS progresses this year.
I agree - read/option plays are not the bread and butter plays in a pro set playbook, but McNulty clearly put some read/option run plays in there to take advantage of Gio’s running ability. We were running those plays on that long 85 yard drive but then we stopped calling those plays for some reason.I don't think it is a staple of the "Pro-Style" so we never called it.

Sure, but after 6 games in, and not seeing Art progress, why not switch to another QB to see if we can move the ball and generate some offense? it's not like each week Art through more TDs than INTs.
Good thing our recruiting is plummeting under Ash.This offense has no answers other than better person
