I do realize it. I’d still like to see improvement. We never should be outscored ...now 205 to zero against the big theee in the division since last year. It’s like Ground Hog day.
Chris Ash doesn't even look like he wants to be here
Takes time to get athletes and players in. He has 1 recruiting class in.
The defense has improved but does not have the depth to keep up with teams when we can not run an offense.
this is this is simply not true. This isn't about the kids this is about the administration the school and the coaching there needs to be a top-down approach and commitment to winning. We have been in every game we played or had the chance to win this is the first game that you are seeing a much better team however the scheme and the coaching is clearly showing how bad it is here
I got news for you he has another one or two wins season this year and he is not going to keep this class together.

Coach your wasting your time trying to explain to this crowd that it's going to take time to rebuild this program.
I don't see how this program will dig itself out of the hole it's in. Even a "solid" recruiting class will get blown out of the water by the rest of the Big Ten.

Is Ash getting the most of this current roster in your estimation?
It's just that recruiting is tough enough, but to the casual observer, there is no difference between this year and last. How much longer can Ash hold together this just-decent recruiting class?
Ive never been actively participating in one of these threads during a game before. More frustrating than arguing with the guys around me in the stadium who think they know football.
For some players, yes. But in the end his weakness is not having a QB that can make plays. I don't think we have someone like that.
I wish I could see the QBs at practice. Besides that I think he is getting good stuff from our guys, especially on defense before they get exhausted. I love the young WRs. Grant having the concussion is bad.
I think blackshear needs to touch the ball more.
On pace for 70-0. Hopefully Meyer takers pity on Ash and puts in 5th stringers.

Talking about the game in 2014? They then proceeded to clean our clocks two years later so what changed all of a sudden? The Ash defenders on here say it takes more than two years to rebuild.

Yeah, but we get the ball first to start the 2nd half. So we got that going for us, which is nice.
It does. I have helped rebuild a college and high school team. I see improvement in coaching from year 1 to year 2. I see improvement in perception and recruiting. Next year is the judging year.
Look at the recruits. We literally have the same exact OSU defense that stopped Marcus Mariotta and the Ducks and all their trickery dead cold in the title game.

Just not the players.

Yes, and that's a function of the entire athletic department. We have 2 or 3 decent programs out of 20 or so.
he simply he simply is not getting the most out of the players he has. If the scheme doesn't work for the talent that you have then you would adjust the scheme to match the talent. This is all coaching and you've got teams with lot less talent and a lot less resources that play many of these teams better than we do. This is a coaching issue

The unfortunate truth is that Ash should stick around solely so the next guy is a few more years removed from the Kyle Flood era. That's literally the only reason to keep him.
