I understand why you give a coach three or four years. That first year or two he hast to essentially move the players from the old regime out of his program, bring his players in, and establish his system.

But what to make of Ash? The team is now predominately his players. This is his system with his guys, and these are the results.

Maryland's defense isn't that much worse than OSU's to be somewhat fair. In fact, OSU's defense is almost bad.

About the only positive is that the Maryland quarterback overthrows or underthrows his receivers at least 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, of course, he has thrown touchdowns. But, nevertheless, that could have been something we could have exploited.

The spirit is correct.. but.. not really.. if they know you will just handoff it actually could get worse... they would be tackling you before you could handoff.

I remember, before the season began, there was an article describing a conversation between Nova and Sitkowski where Gary offered advice for dealing with the difficult fan base (i.e. the booing, etc.). But, Sitkowski really doesn't have to deal with any of that because there's no one in the stands. And, pretty soon, there won't be any fans left .. at all.
