It's all coaching. We try to sit on a 11pt lead with 8 min in the 3rd Q.
What? The offense was doing nothing since halfway through the first quarter. It's not like they suddenly changed what they were doing in the second half.

WR and OL play are the two biggest weaknesses on this team. WRs are by far the most lacking. That play by Patton vs the plays where Indiana's WRs eent and got the ball in their TD receptions are perfect examples.

Ash is a guy who knows he is entering gun fights with knives.

He has nothing. Absolutely nothing to work with.

That's on the player...

How is that on the coaches?
so mental mistakes aren't on the coaches, our offense not getting a first down 7 possessions in a row isn't on the coaches, everything is talent? Funny what are the coaches here for, just to recruit ? pathetic performance by this team losing by 9 to a team that turned it over 4 times, turned it over on downs twice, and had 2 kicks blocked, missed a 3rd field goal and missed 2 extra points.

No, I don't agree with that. Had horrible field position the whole second half, and they did try to throw short control type passes, but you have to catch the passes, you have to block someone, and most of all you have to want it more then the other team! I didn't see that from this team.

And Tsimis is a senior with three varsity letters. Someone you should be able to count on in the clutch, or at least stay in bounds.

Way more talent across the board then we have. Not one of our receivers would play on their team. Not one.
Perhaps..but I have zero confidence the guy running the show will bring in and develop the talent needed to compete. This is why it was so risky bringing in a coach with no experience. Look who he hired as OC !

This is a historically bad Rutgers team. Like "recent history" bad

When we had a real OC we won 8 games. Our last two former position coaches turn OC will not get us 8 wins in 2 seasons.

Those were near perfect passes. Dann.

It is what it is. Those blaming that stuff on the coaches need to learn how Football works.

You can tell the people that never played sports. They watch games we are in and can't see the clear and obvious talent disparity. Anyone who knows anything at all can see this.

Patton. Perfect example of no talent.

Patton can't catch a sure TD.

It ain't coaching folks. It's a team with absolutely nothing.

We don't get penalized much. That is the only indication we have good coaching.

Watching other teams play is like night and day when you see the plays kids can make. It's shocking to see our receivers even catch a ball.

If Ash can we recruit he will be a good one. If he can't, he won't.

Simple as that.
I think he was a 4 star WR. Also an example of how that star system can be imperfect. Need help at WR pretty quickly. As for Gio, seems to be the most serviceable QB we have. As he gets experience he may be ok.

We had good field position in the 3rd Q.

Can't go for a TD. You miss and game is over. Have to extend the game.

Gio isn't the answer.

If anyone thought a simple QB change was the solution, in all due respect you don't understand football.

Gio provided a spark early..but that's it.

Agree. He wasn't very accurate today but didn't get much help from his WRs either. He may be the answer but he needs to get healthy and better.

This game is over.

Turning it into a one score game with 13 secs to go means that we were in this game ? No.

A truly atrocious offensive performance by RU. 13 First downs and 1-16 in 3rd down performance tells a lot of the story of this game.

His OL was not very helpful either. They could not open holes for running game and then Indiana just pinned their ears back to rush him. The WRs -- well, we know that story.

Why is it so hard to recruit defense for RU? They can play as freshmen and they get to play all game long!!!!

See kicking the FG there is 100% coaching.

Coaches calling a good play and the players dropping the ball is on the players.

Coaches call plays but it is up to the players to make plays.

This isn't rocket science, it Football.

We tried we never gave up but we couldn't overcome our shortcomings.
