Honor is a foot shorter than Thiam and he takes every open three, while Thism is still passing up good looks. Very frustrating.

Guard size doesn't matter when you're always playing from behind and jumping from the side to block shots. Defense is played from the front.
You shouldn't need to lunge at shots when you have 6 plus inches on the guy.

Wide open 3s all game. This team is light years away and I’m afraid stumbling this season crushes the hopes of making a recruiting jump in 2020

Fordham deserves the win...playing better and making the shots. They aren't a good team but rode the emotion.

Rutgers players and staff should be embarrassed if this score holds. It's a pathetic display

When a team is getting torched it has to know how to switch into a zone even if it is few possessions. Period..

This game kills all the positive momentum we had and now we’re looking at 4 losses in a row if we don’t beat the hall

Fordham has 10 threes on us, and as bad as that is for or D, our offense still looks sluggish and out of whack. We should have far more than 58 points with 3:39 to go in the game.

Gee, if only Rutgers could hire a coach who can recruit as well as Fordham’s. Or get them to play as if they give a damn.

Oh, right. It’s all about the facilities. That’s why Fordham’s frosh are shaming Pikiell’s kids. Yeah, the facilities.

Fordham’s guards are beating us off the dribble on every possession
That's nothing new. Geo can't stay in front of anyone with any quickness, and aside from just leaning on someone on D and follow up dunks on O, Doorson has no ability and really should't be taking time away from Johnson and Carter IMO.

One last point - this is what happens when you don’t have a single true point guard in the program. Sorry, Geo is a nice combo guard. But he isn’t a point. And Hobbs and Knight have been unable to find one. And next year, they’ll have one - and the excuse will be, hey, he’s only a frosh.

Harper's a starter. Johnson is underrated. Mathis isn't a 4*. Carter could be decent. Geo is not a point guard and not very good at defending opposing teams' point guards. Play some zone. Post up Kiss and Harper. Don't ever post up Thiam. He's brutal inside. Run something else occasionally on offense. Stop fighting over screens 30 feet from the basket. It adds to opposing guards' penetration and leads to more threes, plus it tires out your players leading to having to play guys who shouldn't be playing. In short, there are a lot of things wrong. I like Pike, but whoever said this was as bad as Ash losing to Buffalo was right. This was an Atlantic 10 team with eight freshman. And one more thing - guys need to be told what is a good shot for them. Freeman was allowed to take whatever bad shot he wanted last year because Pike let him saying he worked so hard on defense he'd allow some bad shots. No deal here - play great defense and don't take bad shots.
