We are terrible. EMU quaterback is better than anyone we can put on rhe field? Play calling sucks big time...EMU is obviously the better team. If no serious adjustments at half....well...I just don't know what to say.

I love my team but we make putting a drive together look so friggin hard...we look inept, no energy, bad QB play, excessive penalties....if we (as fans) are saying these things how can a potential recruit see the "upside" of coming to Rutgers? Two steps forward with Washington and a major step backwards against freakin EMU. So Frustrating!

Why can't we ever come up with high energy, innovative plays and schemes???? Our guys look absolutely lackadaisical every play, playing a MAC team. N

We tried that last year. Went from creative garbage to whatever this is today.

Rutgers lack of success to this point has a lot to do with playcalling and the play of Bolin. Bolin is having a bad day by holding onto the ball too long sometimes.
Absolutely correct. He is "Mister Happy Feet". Get rid of the damn ball!

Jonathan Lewis was in for 1 play. He handed it off for no gain. Was his redshirt worth it?
There are plenty of things to complain about but "burning" Lewis' redshirt isn't one of them. He was always going to play this year and if QB play doesn't improve materially, he'll be our starter by the 7th or 8th game.

It's fascinating really.

Our Alabama playbook looks like it's lined up against the Alabama defense.

Both teams 1 for 16 combined on 3rd down?
RU has 27 rushing yards in a half against a MAC team?
This is not good football.

Not at all. I'm extremely disappointed with our OL today. Thought we'd be able to pound the rock against these guys.

could be worse if EM didn't use their TOs up before they could be used to help score TD instead of making FG.
Sad to see so many so called RU fans giving up on this game only down by 7 .
Except for the first and last series, the RU D didn't what it needed to.
If the RU O starts showing something, game can turn out a lot better thay most posting in this thread think it will.
Seems like RU Fans feel that expecting a win against teams like EM is something to keep to yourself and only post you expect to lose

We can't run. We can't pass.

Also, once we realized their QB will punt on 4th down, why not have a guy deep to attempt return?

What was the purpose of bringing Lewis in for one play? If Bolin is this bad against EMU..,what the hell will happen against B1G defenses?

We're not giving up, we're calling a spade a spade. We all want to see Rutgers come out and play better in the second half.

Cause he's a QB. If he sees the opportunity he will pass. You have one player deep, that's one less man on the line.

I thought that too but 4th and short they might be tempted to go for it if we put Grant in. It's smart coaching on their part.

Alot of students bolting at half

You cannot build a fanbase with this type of play

This. You can't get the fanbase back playing such a boring style. Punting from their 37 on 4th and 1 should be an instant go every time at this point. Ash starting to remind me of one of those guys who get lost in the process and can't deviate when it is so obvious you should.
