Just like last year a freshman QB was never coming into the game to pass the ball. Ash wants to ease the young players into the game, but the defense knows this too. It makes defending the young QB much easier. You end up limiting the success opportunity for the young QB.

But Maryland brings in heir freshman QB and he completes 11 passes in a row. Why can't we get that kind do luck.

The back shoulder is throw is very difficult to cover. IU abused OSU with it. Only to stop is to force the WR inside and/or get pressure on the QB

Back shoulder throws and fades are typically low percentage throws for even a P5 college QB.

This guy can sling it.

Nows the time to dominate with offensive and have the D shut them down.
Taking too long , in this game, to show this RU team can be counted on to compete with the big boys
