Is it actually the student crew? I know Danny Breslauer was doing the game with Ralph Bednarczyk on BTN+ originally. Ralph is the announcer for our women's team and Danny used to do stuff for RVision... Having listened to more than a few games he called on WRSU when he was a student (and I was) I'm honestly surprised he didn't wind up somewhere bigger, always thought he was very very good.
Breslauer is GREAT. Criticizes RU just as easily as he praises them. Obviously knows his sh#t because he's a huge RU hoops fan, but also does his homework on the other team, the refs, etc... which is more than I can say about some of the "professionals" out there.
In my opinion he is the best that WRSU has ever produced in that it’s going back to the 70s. I absolutely cannot understand why he has not obtained bigger gigs to date.
Watched this game on BTN+ live and almost started a thread on Breslauer because I thought he was that good. Hope he gets chances to step up in the broadcasting ranks. VERY impressive.

Because he’s not trying to make a career out of being a broadcaster, I don’t believe. He went to NYU for grad school to become some kind of broadcasting/multimedia exec down the road.
And yes, I agree he’s very good. In the Rich DeMarco, Ryan Williams stratosphere of RSU grads.
When Thiam pump faked and took a dribble and dished to Harper. The color commentator was allllll over it saying how that was a move you wouldn't have seen from Thiam last year. I was thinking to myself the broadcasting was really good for a BTN plus game. I feel like I should send a tweet out or something to BTN giving some positive feedback

Good morning! A friend just made me aware of this thread. Thanks so much for the compliments. Ralph and I also did the BU game on Friday, and we’ll be back 12/22 for the Columbia game on BTN Plus.
@Local Shill has it right. I had a great 10-year run in broadcasting - through internships and jobs at WCTC, WRSU, RVision, IMG, Verizon FiOS1, the NEC, etc. After 5 years post-RU graduation, I decided to get my MBA full-time at NYU Stern & I’m now working my way up the media business chain at iN DEMAND in NYC.
I still get to the RAC often as a fan (when NJ Transit cooperates), and Rutgers has been kind enough to offer a few fill-in broadcasts too. Like many of you, I watch every MBB game intensely (and offer up thoughts @DannyBreslauer on Twitter).
