I would love schiano back...but we really do need an offensive minded head coach for the programs sake...going 1-11 but losing 55-50 every game would at least sell tickets...the program needs excitement.

If anyone has been following Nebraska this year, they are having a similar situation. New head coach, absolutely terrible play. Down 39-0 at half to Michigan, looking at 0-3. Would be 0-4 if they played Akron. Worse for them maybe because they had dreams about Frost returning. A loyal son who won a national championship last year and they are playing just like us.
To be honest I would be fine with scores like this against Mich, OSU, etc, I know that we have a long way to catch those teams. It's the fact that no effort no coaching games are against the likes of Buffalo and Kansas that hurts.

Ash is not going anywhere. We got what we could afford and paided for. The school is focused improving its quality of education and research. We are now 40th in the world ranking. Sports is on its own. Hobbs can only buy what he can afford.

From last year. I could tell that Ash doesn't have an eye for who the play makers are. From the film I've seen, Chatman is the best qb we have on the roster. Pacheo is obviously the best back. Blackshear should touch the ball at least 17 or 18 times. Is shameen Jones hurt? And it doesn't look like the defensive players have been coached up at all. Avery young looks lost, I know he's a freshman but it's the coaches job to put him in a position to use his natural abilities.
Ash has to go, going to the spread with a head coavh that doesn't know the spread was a mistake. I told you guys the spread was not the answer. At least get a spread head coach. You bring in a first time head coach that was a successful defensive coordinator at a school with superior talent. Then expect him to know how to infuse a completely new offensive strategy. Lol with a first time oc. Who's like 28. Not enough lol in the world. Might want to bring in a AD with common sense.
Spread is definitely the best avenue. Having a coach that is confused about offense is the problem.

We haven't even had 1 earnest attempt at installing a spread with an actual spread coach with some gravitas. No one from the Leach/Briles tree or something similar during this McNulty hire. I had suggested names like Graham Harrell UNT OC, Sterlin Gilbert USF OC last year if more experienced names weren't available.

It is the best avenue for a school like us even it failed I would go back to it again with someone else. But we haven't even given it a real earnest attempt just a half hearted bungled approach and that's being kind.

I mentioned this a couple times today. WSU had a nice showing against USC last night on the road, lost a close one. WSU under Leach is 2-2 against USC in their last 4 meetings. You know what Leach's recruiting rankings are? Mostly in the 50s with a high of 69 and low of 46. I didn't look up USC but I'll bet they're top 15 top 10 most years, yet WSU can compete with them.

Most feasible system to implement matters, coaches that may be able to do more with less matter and identifying the players that can fit that system matter.

Recruiting will nosedive with a season like this. Like it or not, change has to happen.

Ash wasn’t wrong when he arrived wanting to install the spread, but just chose so poorly when it came to DM. That affected recruiting and in turn that one mistake sealed his coffin.

Our receivers actually run toward the DBs instead of away. Melton would've been wide open if he ran left instead of straight toward the end zone. No adjustment whatsoever.
