Looks like Suriano and Ashnault moved right to the head of the pack.

Who were other dynamic duos?

Mens hoops: Sellers and Dabney.
Football: Rice and Leonard.
I’m sure there were some in women’s hoops.

Who else at a really high level?

Lewis and Clark had such high potential for storybook headlines. The 4 star OL opening huge holes for the dual threat QB.

What about Wicks and Sticks? That was Sue Wicks and Regina Howard.
First one I thought of too.

Maybe a stretch with this comp but James Bailey and Hollis Copeland deserve at least Honorable Mention.

My point in the other thread. We had a lot of great players on 2006 time frame. We could not finish #12 with any two mentioned above and there were many more notalready mentioned.

How about Battle and Ellerbe in Hoops? Good guard combo but teams were average after Hinson left in 1983.

Bateman and Burns
I believe that Harvey Harman was Frank Burns HC from '46 -'48.Coach Bateman never had Frank as a player.Harry Rockafeller was the HC in '45.(addendum) I apologize for NOT realizing that you were posting about our ONLY UNDEFEATED SEASONS. You nailed the best of possible tandems. Hadn't eaten breakfast at the time and my Brain was low on fuel. Great Call.
