Big thanks to @MrsScrew ! We had a great time.
-Rutgers fans know how to tailgate. Several big lots full of everything you'd expect. Definitely B1G level. We had plenty to eat and drink.
-The Boardwalk was kinda cool. Carnival rides, games, etc designed to draw more families. Also a rock band on stage at the end of the walk. Didn't try the food trucks
-Pregame show with the marching band outside and team walk to the stadium was solid.
-Gameday vibe inside was good. Folks were definitely up for the night game though a lot of them showed up late. The stands weren't even close to full when the game started. The band was much more high energy than Iowa's. (an ongoing pet peeve of mine) Fireworks were a bit overdone but the use of drones was really cool. The wave over the stadium at the end of the 1st quarter was classy.
-Big Jersey vibe. Springsteen and Bon Jovi music and an appearance by Mike "The Situation" from Jersey Shore throwing out T-shirts.
-Fans were pretty friendly. We were way outnumbered but all night I only heard one or two call outs. Nothing profane.
-Getting out of the SHI area is every bit as bad as Kinnick. 1:00+ arrival back at the hotel was a bit late with our morning train to Philly.
Thanks again to @MrsScrew! You were a fantastic host!
