halftime 33-26.....RU played much better 2nd 10 minutes than first 10 minutes with much better D. Down 7 isn't bad but I am not very optimistic

Rutgers still hasn't missed from the line.
What a difference a game makes.

Guess the team got the message with the booing last game.

Sanders needs to pass when he drives baseline
Pretty much none of our guys other than Freeman knows how to move without the ball on fast breaks. If we were taller that would probably be different, but it makes it hard for Corey to do anything other than circus shots because nobody is moving in position for an easy shot.

Fool's gold right now. Shot 6-11 from three in first half and still down by 7. We ain't keeping that up. Especially since it's really just one guy - Nigel. Getting destroyed on the glass 23-9. No foul trouble though so plenty of fouls to dish out on the big guy.

THAT is what we need to see once in a while
Every other team seems to do that to us.

Time for law of averages to kick in once in a while

Even when the B1G announcers in the studio compliment us it's a back handed slap in the face. I know the truth hurts but DAMN!

Quickest half all year. We pull close and fouls galore of course. Purdue in the bonus surprise.

please stop, they arent in the bonus....Purdue took two free throws, officiating is zero factor tonight if anything its benefitting RU's tough defense

Amazing what happens when we don't have to shoot a FT. Also, we only had 1 foul against us the first 16 mins. Next three minutes 6 fouls. Still. I think the refs staying out of it is ultimately better for us (obviously) even if they miss some calls on our end also.

If Corey comes alive in the second half and Nigel stays in his zone (while we limit Haas as much as possible- good job Doorson & Gettys so far), this may be fun.

I saw 22-11 on ESPN but point remains, that is going to be huge. That being said RU doing great D on Swanigan just 2-7. Haas is 3-3, I expected a more concerted effort from Purdue to feed it inside They too 14 3s, even for them thats alot

11 3 attempts for RU is ALOT and can they get away with that again in the 2nd half..only if they hit 6-11 again

33-26 ain't bad, given how well Purdue played - just goes to show what a huge difference shooting makes - Nigel 4-4 from downtown? Where the hell did that come from? If he could have done that in some of the earlier close games, we'd have a couple more wins.

Purdue is damn talented

4th best 3 point shouting team in country.

So tough to defend, but we are doing as good a job as we could hope for on that end.

They could be fun to watch and root for in the NCAA (not a lot of other B1G teams to root for).

I give us credit for hanging in there thus far.

JUST KEEP FIGHTING!!
All we can ask for in this game.

Was Ru in the bonus? Were those fouls on Duerson suspect? Come on. In a close game makes a difference.
