Just read an article stating they would be willing to pay $4 million a year for their next head coach. I'm betting Joe will take it since it's a raise and who could blame him ??

I would say that the more embarrassing losses coach JoMo accumulates, the farther that number drops - for him. I guarantee you if the record finishes 4 - 8, that number will be way, way down there. He's likely to take a big pay cut to get that job, if it's still on the table.

I doubt they are gonna low ball him on the pay. If it's not a raise he won't take it. If you leave to take a better paying job you save face and not everyone thinks if he has a bad year at MSU it's because he forgot how to coach football

Seems like our best bet is for joe to go 6-6 this year and pray Rutgers likes what they see

Him going back North,

with a little less pay, is a win for all.

He would have a natural out. No further discussion needed.

I don't think you have to pray or hope they like what they see. Its printed all over and reported that he is either their number one or two candidate. Pretty sure if Joe wants it he can have it. 6 and 6 or 3 and 9.

I posted awhile back that he was gonna leave us for a better job. Average Big10 pay is 4.25 million. Rutgers has already stated they intend to be very competitive. I'm sure we will go out there and get a real winner next time***. Maybe from somewhere like Tulane

Well, I guess that settles it. Once they pass Maryland and Indiana, they only have Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, and Ohio State to pass in their division. Sounds like Moorhead is indeed the man for this job.

It's funny you mention Tulane since their one loss is to Auburn. They gave up 24 points. Not in the first quarter--the game.

That could be why I mentioned them. Successful small program. No doubt when we hire him or Hud or Napier we will start whipping Auburn here. I sure will hope so.
