Yes, with yesterday’s loss, the chance for first place took a severe hit. But Rutgers is technically tied for 4th with Ohio State.

If they win twice/Wisky lose twice or they win once/OSU lose twice, would they be better off with a double bye to rest up players, or stay in fifth-ish place to keep the momentum going with just the one bye?

Either way works out for us. If we win enough games to get the double bye, we’ll be locked into the NCAAs and then it’s go try to win the B1G tourney. If we lose enough games that we don’t finish top-4, then we’ll likely need a game in the B1G tourney anyway so it’ll be good to play a lesser team first.

We just need wins.
I'll take a win in the 2nd round rather then chance a loss after byes and selection sunday saying we lost our only B10 tourney game...we don't belong.

I’d prefer to get a double bye. As I see it, it is unlikely to catch Wisc unless we win out as we’d have to make up two games in the standings in order to then win the tiebreaker. More likely to catch OSU who has six games remaining- some with short rest. Need to just make up one game in the loss column to win the tiebreaker vs. OSU.

I’d say that if we play well enough to get a double bye, that means we’ve won at least 3 of our last four regular season games… which I think puts us over the top regardless of the B1G tournament.

Interested in someone analyzing the remaining schedules of the top 6 BIG teams.

We own the tiebreaker over Ohio State and Michigan State so we only have to tie them. I don't think Iowa or Michigan is going to catch us and we own the tie breaker with Iowa even if they do.

If we split with Michigan and tie them in the standings, what is the tiebreaker for seeding in the tournament?

Wisconsin and Purdue play each other so one of them gets another loss.

Illinois plays Ohio State so again a loss for one of them.

Is it possible we could be the 4th seed in the BIG tournament yet be a bubble team?

We are the 4 seed, we are in. NET be damned. Now would they punish us by putting us in 8 or 9 seed in Big Dance. Would like to avoid that. Frankly would rather 10 or 11 and take our chances.

Yea but we play Wisconsin at home so it's only one other loss if we beat them and we would clearly have the tiebreaker
