RU Creedo,
I'll take the bait and reply but let me first say that I appreciate that your tone has become more positive. I hate the idea of people on forums taking jabs at a student athlete's heart or drive to succeed. Having been a multi-year season ticket holder, Big Ten Plus buyer and having seen every match this year either live at the ESU Open, on Periscope (thanks Johnny Filmmaker) or on the Cal Poly YouTube Channel I will give this a shot:
Last year Giraldo was cutting so much weight that he was gassing within a few minutes. This year he is being overpowered by the above average 149ers. I don't think the reason for his record has to do with the fact that he is quitting. His best weight is probably 141.
Correnti has cut so much weight and so much muscle, that he is fatiguing quick. Hopefully, his body will hold more muscle as his weight plateaus at around 200 pounds.
I stood next to Razhonn at the ESU Open. I would estimate him to be about 5 feet 9 inches, 235 pounds. Based on his height, he should be much lighter, but he is weighed down by a few years of college football built bulky muscles. He looks like he is as strong as most of his opponents but he appears rusty as he is improving his technique with his new body type.
As always, I say, let's refrain from the name calling. All might not be rosy, but there is no reason not to be positive with this great group of student athletes. There are 2 more guys who signed NLI's for next year and so far there are a few more high level Verbals for 2018.
