Ok, yes I'll be watching that ... thanks for the intel. The part of the game I'll be watching closest will be the hand shakes at the end, hopefully they'll have some kind of post-game eleaborate hand shake haha

Did Russo start? I'm watching now and Shea Patterson is in right now, though I see Russo listening in on the huddle.

One qb per half randomly chosen.

Is this game live or a tape of the one husker gave pbp for earlier?

I think in another thread it was revealed that Russo gets some throws so maybe he's the 2H starter?

Started slow but now looks like he's got some patience. Also, Shea Patterson was bad, I'm surprised this guy is so highly ranked.

I'm not at home and unable to watch the ESPNU coverage. Have they made any comments about AR. The ones made live on Twitter while the game was played were pretty favorable. Since many consider AR the surprise of the camp, I was wondering if ESPNU has chosen to ignore all of that.

It's hard to really make a judgement off of 7s but he had a good drive that led to a touchdown, but his other two drives were 3 and out. Can't make much off of it. Also, this is not live so twitter has all the information already

AR had very few open receivers. The 2 OSU guys were pretty good but not much else.

They seemed impressed with Russo. Kid has a big arm, that much you can glean from this competition.

I don't know who is going to win this QB comp, but it very obvious that Russo isn't out of his league. From the QBs I saw, he gives away nothing in physical ability throwing the football.

Very wideopen playing, but just saw the first INT since I started watching. Some QB from NJ I have never heard of threw it. Lols

nJ kid just got picked again! Holy cow.

Anthony RUsso represented Rutgers well Thursday. Only two of his passes were uncatchable in his ESPNU 7v7 game and he didn't throw any interceptions. Lunar Beast receivers didn't help him much in that game. Anthony appeared to play better than the other Lunar Beast QB.

Give it up RUisnotsmrtrthana5thgrdr.

If you are going to continue to come and flame under yet another handle, I have some advice. Be smarter about it. You know, slow play it. Say some not so stupid things that are actually positive once in awhile. Then hit us with the moronic stuff. Keep us guessing. Blowing your wad right out of the gate isn't going to get it done.

Anthony threw well today. I agree that his receivers did not help him much and I wonder about the play calling. Be that as it may...Keep choppin, Anthony!!!

Haskins looked very very good.

Gurarntano has no clue how to play QB. Even with all the coaching he still tries to throw every ball as hard as he can even when the receiver is 5 yds away, his drops were erratic. HE could have had 3 INTs. Even Dilfer without explicitly saying his name said some QBs continued to do the same thing and make the same mistakes with their drop back steps and the velocity on their throws.

We are not going to really know about these guys for a few years. 7 on 7 is fine but not a great indicator, it's very helpful when there is no pressure and the QB knows he isn't going to get hit. That is a very big part of the game, how they handle adversity and the type of mental and physical toughness they have. Can't tell that looking at 7 on 7's.

The hype around him will kept growing. I can see him being a 4 star by signing day.

When Russo threw the td to the OSU guy, the announcers commented about how this was one B1G to another B1G. They seemed very positive about Russo. He definitely meets the eye test and appears to be very confident and a natural leader. Flood and the staff deserve mucho credit in this case.

Based on these performances, Haskins looks like he's ahead a little, then RUsso, then Guarantano as far as being a pocket passer. Guarantano passing on us seems to be a blessing in disguise.
