Making the trip to Rupp in a few weeks from Nebraska. Will be my 10 year old's first Rupp experience. Is it worth spending the extra money for "good" lower bowl tickets? I have been out a few times but only sat in the lower bowl once. Thoughts?

Absolutely! If you can get in the first 5 or so rows in the upper arena, those aren't bad either!

Heck, I got moved down about 10 rows this year in the upper level and am still far from the first 5 rows and consider my view and tickets to be excellent. I'm right on mid court and am very happy where I'm sitting this year. Some people have a real aversion to the upper level but I don't see it being all that bad. I've sat in some lower level seats at times and the leg room is worse than upper level, to be honest. Seats might be better but comfort isn't all that.

I'd love to just once sit in the lower arena. Just can't justify the cost to do it. Those bleachers just do a number on my bad back. After 3 back surgeries, I dread sitting up top for a couple hours. That is why I rarely come to games anymore.

Your son only has one first game at Rupp Arena. Pay the extra cash for the lowers. It's a whole different game down there.

Agree. I have been attending games in Rupp, since it opened, and I have found that unless you want to see UL, or UCLA, most of the pre-conference games will have lowers available, at very affordable pricing. There are scalpers outside that will sell you a couple at a decent price. Sometimes, you can even get lowers from the University, especially during the Christmas break, when students are gone. Stay away from Stub Hub, or one of the other ticket sites, because you will pay a whole lot more. Good luck and enjoy.

I agree. Just too crowded in there. Not to mention the noise, parking, high priced arena food, etc... OP should skip the game at Rupp and spend the same amount of money buying a new TV for his son. He'll have a better view of the game and the comfort of an easy chair. Seems like a no brainer.

Oh and by the way UCLA goes on sale this afternoon. I got 7 laptops ready and a few friends to help out. Gonna make some real money off this game. If any of you strike out i'm sure i will be able to help you out...For a large fee of course.
