How can any red blooded American boy not love In N Out??? I used to go with a group a couple times a year to all-day aerobic/weightlifting/yoga clinics. Afterward we were about dead and went to In N Out. I always got the 3X3 with a double order of fries. It was the only time I let myself eat their delicious, ultra high-calorie, artery-clogging food. Since we don't do the clinics anymore, I haven't been there in years. I'm salivating as I type thinking about it (seriously).
I feel the same with another west coast fast food staple Del Taco. When I was in the Marines, we could regularly slam down tacos and chili cheese fries from there. Pretty sure we cut years off of our life. It was amazing. The other amazing California taco place I loved was El Pollo Loco. Best spit roasted chicken tacos ever. Last year I did a California roadtrip and made it a point to eat a giant plate of chili cheese fries at Del Taco. Decadent gluttony never tasted so good.

Do you have Five Guys in NE yet? Big hit around here. Good, greasy burgers with anything you want on them. Good fries, too, they make them in-store. They'll have signs up where that batch of potatoes is from, just beware that a large fry there has gotta be about 3 big potatoes worth. You can feed a family on a large Five Guys fry.

I miss Don & Millies for an awesome, greasy burger and a strawberry shake. They still around?

The Cadillac of burgers in Chicago is Kuma's. They play heavy metal music and movies like A Clockwork Orange and they make GIANT burgers with all kinds of great stuff on them. They're putting one in a few blocks from my house and thank God my work put in a gym or I'd probably be riding a rascal scooter within 10 years from eating The Pantera at least once a week.

I went to Five Guys once here in Papillion. The burgers and fries are amazing. The whole thing costed under ten bucks, but the burger was enormous, and they gave me a basket of fries that could feed a family. Third world problems I guess. Their food taste great.

Nah, they just attach a homing device. :D

Their cottage fries are the absolute worst excuse for fries ever foisted on the public. If I'm going to eat crappy, I'm heading for McDonald's or Wendy's fries.

Not to mention that I won't contribute to a bigot's pocketbook.

So is Jesus a bigot too?

Nebraska needs Shake Shack. Best short order burgers and fries I’ve ever had (way better than In N Out)

I like Five Guys a lot. My only complaint is that I would like to have some cheese options beyond what appear to be Kraft American Singles. Give me some choices like provolone or some sharp cheddar, and I would probably go there more often. Excellent burgers, though.

Went to Five Guys in Lincoln once, and thought it was the most overpriced burger joint ever. Runza is half the price and just as good. If I'm going to pay over $10 for a burger and fries, I'll go to Honest Abe's or HopCat.

I have the argument about In n Out all the time. They are ok. They are fine. They make burgers that are ok and fries that suck. No one would know In n Out and no one would give a crap about it if a bunch of skinny hollywood celebrities coming off a juice cleanse didn't gorge themselves on the first crap they saw and act like its amazing.

Decent burgers, but I really disliked their fries. I want fries to have some crunch to them, and theirs are pretty soggy. Not sure if that is standard, but they were really soggy with grease. I went there because I heard their large fry is a massive order, and it was more than massive! I ended up taking them home and reheating them in my oven, which gave them some crunch. It took me 3 or 4 days to finish them off!

I think Culver's is actually pretty amazing on both the burger and fry front.

Looks like youre the one who cant read a definition.

It's right in front of your face to read, and you still don't understand it? That's sad.

Dan Cathy donated millions of dollars to anti-same sex marriage groups. He obviously considered his actions to be intolerant, because he has stopped donating to those organizations, and has stated that they will treat all customers the same, indicating that they had actually treated LBGT persons differently. He has even said "Guilty as charged."

It is one of the wonders of nature that what I ate and washed down with several beers when I was a Marine with no apparent effect now causes me to gain 5 lbs just looking at it.

El Pollo is actually fairly healthful, especially if you pull the skin off the chicken.

Wait...what? The last time I went to Wendy's it was the same. Granted that's been a while.

Used to be a full on breaded chicken breast. Now it’s just a mishmash patty with the same breading. I worked Wendy’s as my first job. Loved the original sandwich. Went and ordered one for old time sake like 4-5 months ago and have yet to stop being bitter about it. Maybe I am to Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich as Jason Peter is to everything Nebraska Football, but it’s garbage now.

Only on this board could a thread about runzas turn into a religious debate. :rolleyes:RollingLaughSome of you love to argue way too much.

Don't know how this thread got derailed like that.

Back on topic: I heard that Mike Riley was partial to Chick Fil-A.

Isn't there a guy named Gus that works at El Pollo? Black gentleman, slightly built with glasses. You'll recognize him, because half of his face was blown off by some sort of accident or something..

Sorry to shoot your thoughts down, but Mary Magdalene achieved sainthood, so I think Jesus was accepting of even the greatest of sinners. Perhaps you could use a lesson.

Jesus did not accept people's sins. The sinner yes, but not the sin. He tells you to repent for a reason....not try like he'll to make others believe your sin a normalcy and that it should be accepted as a legitimate course of behavior.

Repentance is key when trying understanding Jesus Christ, and what Christians talk about when discussing the difference between sinners and sins. You can't go on thinking what is wrong is right let alone trying to lead others down that path....that is even worse than the sin itself for you make God out to be a liar.

Exactly. Love the sinner, not the sin is what I was referring to, but I'm going to treat everyone as equal as possible, regardless of their orientation. God can decide on what is a sin or not. That's well above my pay grade.
