I’m fine with what we are seeing this year but in the future I still want us to be a passing focused team.
I’ve seen enough futility in the 80s, 90s and parts of the 2000s.
Look at that stat line from Florida yesterday. That kind of offense makes me cringe.

When you go back and look at leach's better years he's more 70 30 pass to run. His worse years were more pass heavy like 80 20. I feel like the sweet spot is like 65 45. Stay balanced. Keep defenses guessing and take what they give you. Gotta take 5 and beat their 3-4 if that's all they are gonna bring. 5 in the box gotta run

Yeah I noticed it looked like Odom tried the same game plan from 3 years ago. That's what got him fired at Mizzou. Other than ncaa crap.
Yep. And the AM DC only rushed 3 too. Now that our key players are more experienced - I guess the opposing DCs have to pick their poison….

It needs to be about exactly what we saw yesterday. The dc has to know we can and will run on you. This is a running game we have now, not just a gimmick try every now and then. Leach will always be pass first, but we can’t have many explosive plays without them respecting the run.

I suspect--and I'd be glad for a better football mind to correct me--that the improved running game is a product less of specific design and more of 1) OL play and 2) Will getting better at making calls at the line.
