Well, first, a large amount of money, at one time, is traceable. Second, I would say that if Rick paid him all of it at once, there would be little incentive for McGee to keep quiet. Rick is too smart for that. He learned the hard way, with Karen. If McGee gets a little now, and a payoff when this is over, then he stands to lose a lot, should he squeal. Last, even if he did get a good amount of cash, people would question how he is living, and driving a nice car, when he is not working. Kind of like bank robbers hiding the money until the heat is off. Nothing says crooked like a nice car with no income. In any event, McGee driving people around doesn't mean a lot. In fact, it is a great cover.
