Were Wagner, Thiero and Ivisic required to sit out a year when they transferred from UK to Arkansas? Or, did they lead the Hogs to a victory in Rupp Arena in the most ballyhooed regular season game in all of college basketball?I'm not sure I understand how SEC transfer rules work in the NIL-era. do our transfers from Alabama and Florida need to sit out a year?

It depends on the sport and the seasonal transfer window.I'm not sure I understand how SEC transfer rules work in the NIL-era. do our transfers from Alabama and Florida need to sit out a year?
Thank you, this explained it perfectly for me. MSN had an article yesterday on Perry that confused me. I'm quoting the confusing bit here:It depends on the sport and the seasonal transfer window.
Football players are not allowed to transfer in the spring and then be eligible to play at another SEC school this fall. This is one thing that would have hindered Nico Iamaleava from transferring to another SEC school because he would have had to sit out.
Basketball players can transfer in this window and be eligible though.

I get why you all are trying to be smart asses, but I get the question. In basketball they don’t have a winter portal. In football they do. Unless something has recently changed, sec interconference transfers for football in the spring portal have to set out a year. Basketball is completely different in they only have the one portalWere Wagner, Thiero and Ivisic required to sit out a year when they transferred from UK to Arkansas? Or, did they lead the Hogs to a victory in Rupp Arena in the most ballyhooed regular season game in all of college basketball?
