Ohio State has allowed the opponent to reach the red zone 5 times all season. That's crazy good.
I haven't seen OSU play yet, but they get lots of mentions on TV and all as being very good this year. Could be their year.

Because Schiano. Philosophy is ground and pound a few yards at a time and short passing game to keep defenses honest, which doesn’t work when the D crowds the line anyway.
Larger point being, without any chunk plays too many snaps are needed for long drives. Sooner or later you’re likely to have a few unsuccessful plays or penalties to kill drives.
Good offenses may only need 8-10 plays for scoring drives. 15-20 play drives aren’t usually sustainable.
It’s GS’s strategy to shorten games but it costs points.
