pretty entertaining game in the 2nd half. Gotta like what you seen from Laurent, Grier and Lewis today. Best game for all 3 players. Going to need them to play well going forward to even have a chance to have a respectable record before conference play starts
Drawing up a play for Mike Williams. Ok Eddie. Have u watched tonight's game Eddie? man I thought Derek fisher was killing me during my day job with how much he plays Lance Thomas, now I come home to a nice relaxing Rutgers game to watch Mike Williams for the game winner, which we didn't need a 3 by the way and he could have drove cause there freskingg 5 seconds left!!!!! Ugh.
same story. No offense, not enough players with offensive skills (and yes FTs are an offensive skill).
At least we didn't get blown out and are in close games ... Hey recruits ... One player makes the difference in SJU and WF games.
Sad ending - best we could do was Williams from three? That's two major blown games in SJU and this one - we really ought to be 5-2. On the bright side, we have some talent and we do seem to play pretty well together, but we still have those long droughts and are still not so good at FTs (biggest difference in this loss). Still think we're going to surprise some "better" teams this year.
I hope you are not going to live the whole year on atta boys Nuts.
This team is short a shooting guard right now

10 wins is starting to look like a stretch. Just numb between this and St. John's and it's not even December.
I was ok with Williams taking the last shot since we have no shooters and can't make foul shots. Next time, not so much, I am starting to agree that Williams may just be a "shooter" who can't shoot. You'r allowed to miss, but he was sh*tting diamonds he was so tight. You can't throw up a brick. Not in a million years did he think he was making that- and that's a big part of it too
2 timeouts to run 2 awful plays. This was not only a poorly coachee endgame but last 8 minutes as well by Eddie
Nice job by EJ putting the ball in the hands of his only playmaker ... out of bounds. Year III? Same ol' Rutgers. Quality of coaching down the stretch was about the same as the recruiting class of 2016 -- zero.
Joe -- Wake ranked? Please, they'll be lucky to win 4-5 games in the ACC.
We are a horrible shooting team. The one time it makes sense to get something going to the basket, we draw up a 3 from a guy who hasn't hit one all game. #genius
Dear God, please get some shooters and a system that doesn't involve 4 guys standing around watching one guy dribble. It's so ugly.

So we played better ball when we made shots. Then we reverted to the more selfish game and of course gave it up with poor shot selection which of course made the shots harder and it went from there.
I do not get going to Lewis down low end game . He played with great effort tonight and had a good game but he is not the option when you need a basket. Nor was having Mike heave on up from three when you need 1 point at least and had 3.7 more seconds there. You drive to the rim and hope at least for a foul.
I'll give Eddie props for sitting Freeman and Daniels for their out of control efforts earlier in the game. We got beat by a much more focused and controlled team of Frosh and Sophs who were playing on the road. Did you see them out of control or play with a plan and purpose?
There is a reason he won about 40% of his games coaching in the NBA. No one should be shocked watching these head scratching decisions.
Can somebody please tell Goode it is ok to take a shot from the outside? Would like to see if he can actually make them. What's the problem. Nobody else on this team thinks they don't have the green light 100% of the time. We need to pull the defense out.
