I don't understand why he is not using Goodwin & Martin in a two back set. Also, I don;'t like Ash (or any coach) opening berating players as they exit field.

He's not as good a runner as the two on the bench....period
Oh god, now the blame game starts again. It starts and stops with talent.
Coaching philosophy on playing time seems very strange. No Hicks. No Martin. No Turay. No Rettig (just joking!!!).
Yes there is A talent differential with regard to the rutgers defense. However the schemes are awful. On third and short we are playing in almost preevent defense not in anyway designed to stop a third down run

That was a joke. Three blind mice couldn't down the ball. We were down 21-3 and had third and one and we decided to punt. What did we have to lose? Show some confidence and go for it.
This blowout loss was easily predictable, not sure why anyone thought RU would make it a game.
I don't understand the personnel decisions for this game. We make a change at QB to give us a spark but take out our best RB?????? Is this real life?????
this is a rebuild in B10 east with a first time head Coach...Sorry but it looks like it will not work..Im starting to think..Ash is in way over his head. I know Merhinger has allready hit meltdown mode..What are Recruits thinking?
A lot of Rutgers' problems are self-inflicted. Starting with the coaching staff down to the players. On third down you needed three yards. You have Martin and Hicks and they don't get to touch the ball because you want to give it to Goodwin. On the following play they punt the ball and could have down the ball inside the 5 yard line, but the player let it roll into the endzone.
because there is a segment on the board that keeps ignoring how bad the program is, these same peeps will predict a win over Indiana in two weeks

Use goodwin for whatever receiver type thing they have hicks doing where he is not getting the ball. These coaches have to stop with the favoritism based upon off-season workouts haircuts etc. Play the damn talent who have shown it under the lights

This coach is no better than Flood with personnel. He doesn't play the right players. How does Martin disappear? The receivers aren't good and Agudosi can't get off the bench for meaningful playing time? Reminds me of last year and I'm not a Flood supporter.
I guess the lip service of getting Hicks involved was just that....3rd and 3 and Goodwin is not equipped to break multiple tackles inside, put in a more physical back.....Sneed, Hicks and Martin are all bigger and can fall forward for that extra yard....this is a misuse of talent, Goodwin is the least likely to get a first down in that spot.
Nobody expects a win. But at least make a competition of it for at least a half. Well coached FCS teams can sometimes compete for at least a half against the likes of Minny. Why can't we do the same?
