Rutgers has been recruiting "under the radar" guys for decades and then fans wonder why we don't win.

Its not his shot but his decision making and recent carelessness. Team appears to be having more effect on him than him on team

The days of losing by 30 should be over. And that were to teams like Michigan St Ohio St. Now we are getting blown out by the bottom feeders.

Perhaps, but Geo was a steal as a 3 Star.

Doucoure has a very long way to go.

I agree he needs to step up the recruiting though.

people can talk all they want about Mike's leadership and heart and no question he was a key cog, but production wise in scoring...he was not having a good year and had little impact for the offense.

I think Geo is the mold of the player we want....however he needs 6-7 more Geos, he isnt the player to do it himself...I still say Pike is going need to land a top 50 type player somehow

He’s playing poorly right now but not many 3 stars could step into a starting role as a freshman on a B1G team with little support around him.

He has had some very good games this year.

this is true, this is probably our worst Big 10 loss ever given the competition...Even Jordan with that team with no depth took Illinois to 2 OTs two years ago

Geo is a nice player. But he needs to be the 3rd or 4th scorer on a team that dances.

That’s whats facing Pikiell when it comes to recruiting.

If this opponent was Purdue or Michigan State and we were down 33, I would get it, but freaking Illinois?

What concerns me is that there are games to be played and the team is regressing at a alarming rate .I doubt they would defeat a MAC level team right now.

We simply don’t have the horses yet and hopefully we get them soon. Hard nose defense is only gonna get you so far and on a night when that’s not working... well... you get this.

Turned it off 2 min into the 2nd half. Said to myself a minute ago, "why not check the score?" Guessed it would be 77-42 and it was 75-39. Click again. Wow. This is our worst loss of the Pikiell era, easily and as bad as any under Jordan. Any word on Eugene?
