32-34 at half. RU had long dry spell early second quarter.
Forced three shot clock violations by IL.
RU 6 turnovers, 4 on offensive fouls. Last one by Cornwell cost Awa a bucket.
Rebounds now 10 - 15.
RU missed all their 3 attempts, now 2/8, but shooting 50% overall.
Adams sat whole second quarter plus seven min first quarter.

Very tough loss and a game that should’ve been won in regulation.
The league is hyping the Illini. It’s quite obvious. The late calls were ridiculous. Why do I think we would never get those calls no matter the situation.
Not sure who called the fouls buy we have a very, very long history(negative) with Jesse Dickinson, the grey haired guy.
Female ref called foul on Awa on the three.
A number of game changing fouls
Pressing early Adams intercepts pass (second one she got) drives down for layup, gets called for offensive foul her second foul sits 6 minutes first q and all second
Awa hits layup, waved off for foul by Cornwell away from ball.
McM has chance for winning shot end of regulation drives lane called for offensive foul
Ridiculous foul call on three point shot in ot, Adams had the ball after the miss, but instead of RU ball IL has three free throws
Next possession Adams is fouled - misses both shots
Ouch
That foul on Cornwell away from the ball was absurd she was not even in the play and the defender just stepped in her way as she was going to get position for the rebound
Refs last night were flat out awful. Worst I've seen all season and really changed the whole tone of the game.
I still wonder why on the last shot attempt by McMiller the 4 other players were standing in the corners of the court

Don't think too many were thrilled with the hire and thought there were better choices out there.
But it could be the better choices didn't want the position with what Rutgers was offering.
After she was hired I felt Coquese deserved to be given a chance to prove worthy, but I feel that chance ends at the end of this season and if the program looks like it's a dysfunctional one, replace her with a quality candidate and pay what it takes to get them
I'm not looking for a winning season this year to keep Washington, just by the end of year all the chaos that has surrounded the team is gone and the team looks like it's headed in the right direction if Washington is to return next year.
Poor play and unhappy players should be the reason Coquese goes and replace by someone that is considered the kind of HC that can bring back the program to be like it was during it's glory days
But if RU isn't going to pay what it takes to get that type of coach, keep Washington until her contract is up because all RU will be doing is paying a buyout and bringing in a future buyout candidate Rutgers is gambling on but not spending on
